When we were there in September they didn't spit either. DS was dissappointed! I really didn't think he would notice, but I guess to a 4 yr old, spitting camels are one of the highlights of his trip!
We were there the beginning of Dec. Didn't notice the camel spitting during the day, but he just missed spitting on us at MVMCP!
(By the way, he was spitting at the bystanders, facing toward Swiss Family Treehouse....does he spit on the riders too?)
We were there in several weeks ago,no spitting but my 4 yr old grandaughter was asked by the CM what her favorite color was (so she could sit on that color carpet). She told him GOLD!!!! Too funny. He got a kick out of that.
I think that the camels are controlled by people, much in the same way the elephants are controlled at the end of Kali River Rapids. If Nobody is there pushing the buttons, or if the button is broken... no spitting.
