How does it work to get into the Aladdin Musical? Do you just wait outside prior to showtime or are there tickets that need to be picked up? What is a good strategy for getting in and getting a good seat?

No advanced tickets are needed, it is part of park admission. About 30 minutes ahead of time should be good for a nice seat. You will hear different perspectives about where to sit, and I'm providing my opinion only.

Orchestra Level: This is the lowest level and contains 2 sections. Front and back. Many people go right to the front because they think those are the best seats. If you have seen the show before and are willing to miss some of it, then they are the best seats For me personally, the best seats are the first row or two of the back section of the orchestra level. There are portions of the show that take place in the walkway and above you, so with those seats you will see everthing.

Mezzanine Level: This is up 55 (or so) stairs and will put you above the stage. Many people like these seats because of what occurs in their air during the show. Only the first or second row of mezzanine is worth it to me.

Personally, I like the back second on the orchestra level, but only if you can get in one of the first few rows. Many people wait in line and rush to the front section to sit as close to the stage as possible, so this area isn't that hard to get.

Enjoy the show!

Great! Thanks for the tips. I think I will try out the back of the orchestra section.

Dont sit to far back on the orchestra level though since the Mezzanine is right above and it curves a bit and block parts of whats happening in the air.

IMO I love the Mezzanine level. Remember that there are no restrooms in the theater nor in the outside lobby, and that the show in 45 mins long. The show is well worth it and a great one too.

We just saw this yesterday and I totally recommend it! It was so good - my son said he wanted to go again right away (after not wanting to go in the first place :lmao: ). We have preferred seating, so we got to go in first - orchestra seating - and choose whatever seats we wanted. I was talking with another family in line and they suggested the same thing as another poster - do not go to the first section in orchestra, go to the second. This is what we did and it was the best! We were in the first row center of the second section in orchestra and we would have missed some of the show that happens in the aisle between the first and second sections. Two thumbs up for Aladdin - it was a great show!

We saw the show last month ~ it was great! We showed up maybe 15 min. b4 the show started and I was worried ~ there was a ton of people waiting! But it's a huge theater, I'd read on here that the mezz is great so when they announced "Who wants the mezz." we got in that line ~ it was great, we were in the center, maybe the 5th row up.

Thanks for all of the info! I cannot wait. It sounds like it will be wonderful.

I saw the Aladdin musical for the first time last Friday. The show was at 6:00pm and we lined up around 5:30. There was already a big group waiting. If you want your choice of orchestra seats, I would recommend being their AT LEAST 45 minutes before the show. We sat in the middle (I don't know the seating name, can someone explain it to me?) and loved the show.

If you book through Disney travel (including costco and AAA) you are given a voucher for preferred seating for Aladdin, muppets 3D and tough to be a bug (maybe one other?). For Aladdin they let the preferred seating people in first, then the rest of the crowd. For the other 2 shows they have a reserved section.

I would probably allow closer to 45. Then, once you have checked in some of your party can wander off for a few minutes- use the restroom, get a snack, maybe explore the shops and things in the area. The waiting is all outside, so they shouldnt have a problem getting back to where you are.

and we prefer mezzanine. orchestra was too close (we were in the middle of the front section), balcony was too far and we could see all the "holes" in the stage that made characters "appear and disappear", so it put a damper on the show. Mezzanine was great, close enough to see, but far enough back to see the show in the air!

We also sat in the mezzanine when we saw the show two years ago. It was wonderful, although this time I will try to get more of a front row centre seat on the mezz. We loved it because we could really see the magic carpet flight.
