It was unfortunate because we live in the East and like to go out to California to visit family BEFORE the California schools let out and things get crowded.

Well, just b/c CA schools tend towards June out-dates doesn't mean that kids from the REST of the country, getting out earlier, aren't flooding the parks!

True! AND, many local socal schools adopted an "early start" calendar this year, with a mid-August start date and a June 1 out date... so LOTS of kids have been out awhile! The commercials for Nightastic are everywhere- every Socal resident is innundated with the marketing. I mean, who isn't excited to come to Disneyland, especially with a new Fantasmic and fireworks?!?! I can hear the music for the commercial before I can even see what commercial it is! Sorry the PP had a crowded trip. I bet WDW is like that right now too, though.
