Al Gore is going to announce tonight during his 60 Minutes interview that he will not seek the Democratic presidential nomination for 2004.

Of course, I am very pleased because I am backing Vermont Gov. Howard Dean!

Sorry, in addition to being a Disney addict, I am also a political junkie.:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Thanks, Pig Pen:D :D . I respect GORE and do feel that a highly politicized Supreme Court robbed him of his election. However, I DON'T feel that he should run in 2004.

But I am curious what you think about Howard Dean?

DEAN isn't on my scope yet, but I'll work on it:D . As you know, KERRY is planning to make a run as well , but I DON'T think that the country is ready for another (remember M. Dukakis) liberal from Mass:D :D ..............

I thought he said to Barbara Walters he wouldn't announce his decision until after Xmas????

Did anyone see him on SNL last night? very funny!:Pinkbounc

Yes, he was very good on SNL which makes this decision such a surprise! He sure looked like he was running....maybe he was so relaxed because he knew he wasn't going to run.

Eros, check him out!

Whenever I see Kerry all I can think of is $$$$$$$. He's also looking pretty haggard. Otherwise, I guess I will have to "scope" him out too....need to bone up on the competition.

Gotta go downstairs and watch 60 Minutes. Be back later.

Its still amazing peope think Gore was robbed. First it was the very democratic party Supreme Court in Florida that allowed the recounts to happen. But even for those who still cry for Al, just remember they have counted and counted those ballots and have not figured a way to give Al a majority in Florida. As for his decison to not run in 2004, he just knows he is a better actor that politican and that Bush is just too strong.

Bush 2004!!

It was pretty pathetic, but we may have some fresh meat for you in 2004!

:)

Have fun here on the Dis.

PigPen, I have a "hunch" that "Kenny" has been here before;) ;) .......

I was SO hoping Al would run, since I knew he would LOSE for sure!:)

Denise, if the economy continues to decline and Bush is seen for the bloodthirsty war-monger that he is, I'm hopeful that even a STIFF will beat him in 2004:D :D. We'll see.

EROS, perhaps the decline in the economy started while Clinton was chasing skirts instead of doing his JOB!!!!!!!!

Denise, I'll remind you that Clinton SINGLE-HANDEDLY gave a big booooooooooooost to the CIGAR industry:jester: :jester: :jester: .........

So you would rather have a president who degrades and embarasses the country?
Is it G.W.'s fault that Clinton was a LIAR and so are so many corporate heads? Blaming Bush for the economy is like giving Clinton credit for having high moral values!

I'd rather have a President who didn't wear his bloodthirst on his lapel:( :( :( .......

OK, so let's vote in a President who does NOTHING and we can all just sit here with our heads in the sand and HOPE that nothing happens. Sounds great. I don't want to see a single soldier die either, but to sit hear and SAY to the world that we refuse to do anything about the terrorism and it's vast support system.... well, that's just asking for it!
I've asked before, and I'll ask again..... since you feel that Bush is doing this wrong, step up to the podium and tell us what you think should be done!

Must you guys turn every post into an
"argue with Eros" post? Is this some kind
of new hobby I haven't heard of until now?
This post was about Al Gore and all of a
sudden someone is fighting with Eros again
just because he posted. Eros keeps catching the
same fish with the same bait.
I'm certain Al Gore
would not have won had he run in 2004. Who
should run against Bush? Jimmy Carter comes
to mind but I know he won't do it-he's gotten
much smarter as he's aged. I'm sad Gore's not
running. I voted for Clinton the first time because
he had the smarts to take Gore as his running mate.
Losing Gore to private life is sad as I see it-he's
brilliant, astute, affable, sophisticated, mature,
peaceful, sensitive----too good to be president!
LOL! It will be interesting to see what happens.

but I guess I was just in an "argue with EROS" kind of mood tonight;)

Denise, you'll find at least some answers to your questions on the Yanked thread which I've posted to over on the DB:D :D .
Guess what????? Killing Saddam, invading IRAQ, and having the CB celebrate over GEORGE'S bloodthirsty conquest ISN'T going to stop terrorism. Even the CIA has been unable to LINK Hussein with Al-Qaeda. There are much graver forces in the world out to KILL US NOW than Saddam...........he's just a convenient whipping boy for an impotent President:mad:  ........
