What's the difference between the value and standard accommodations at AKV?

Size and location. The value rooms are a little smaller and may have a unusual wall angle. They were left over space after the conversion of the rooms from AKL to AKV's.

savanna - guaranteed savanna view; 360 sq. ft, Jambo and Kidani

That's not correct. There were two different sizes of hotel rooms on the 5th floor of AKL. The rooms on the Zebra and Kudu trails (the horseshoe) were "deluxe" size rooms. The rooms on the Giraffe and Ostrich trails (the two short trails along the front of the hotel) were "standard" size rooms. Deluxe size rooms were about 40 sq ft larger than Standard size rooms. When those Standard sized AKL rooms were converted into villas, those villas were of course smaller than the villas created by converting the larger Deluxe AKL rooms. Those smaller villas are the Value villas. The larger villas are the Standard View, Savanna View and Concierge villas.
