What is walking?
You book a room ahead of when you want to travel and then each day log back in and move the holiday a day nearer to when you want to travel.
What is walking?
Just wanted to throw out there it doesn’t need to be every day. If you have a 5 night trip scheduled for instance you could switch ever 4 days. No need for all the extra work every dayYou book a room ahead of when you want to travel and then each day log back in and move the holiday a day nearer to when you want to travel.
If you pick them up piece by piece, the answer is yes. However, you can simply call/chat with MS and ask them to merge them whenever you like. I put a 7 day stay together for next March in a Value by booking in the wake of the walkers, then got the reservations merged.Did those dates you picked up get booked as separate reservations (if you did them one or 2 nights at a time)?
No I just modified the existing reservation by adding the extra day on as it became available.Did those dates you picked up get booked as separate reservations (if you did them one or 2 nights at a time)?
So adding an extra day when it was available didn't cause you to lose your original days? That is good to know. I'm thinking I might book 5 nights in May 2022 (about what my points will get me with 50% borrowing rule) then add more if I decide to buy Disney's one time 24 pts. Would never want to lose the original res though. No I just modified the existing reservation by adding the extra day on as it became available.
Remember you can only purchase OTU points at the 7 month mark and you have to call... can’t do it online. Makes adding a value studio difficult. Even if you see one by the time you get through to MS, it may be gone. Not impossible. But challenging. So adding an extra day when it was available didn't cause you to lose your original days? If you're trying to walk then you'll need the 11 month date. If you're just trying to piece something together that's already within 11 months then grab what you can and add on as availability shows up.September is my use year.
I guess I could book 4 nights now as that’s available and then each day, add a day and move the reservation

You have to wait until 8am to book the room you’re trying to book I believe is the problem? Can some explain what I’m doing wrong. Hone resort is AKV (although account says Kidani I know both are available at 11 month)
mot says these dates are avaible but I can’t book them?
^^ This exactly! PP posted at 2:36 AM EDT on 7/21. Booking for 6/21/22 does not open until 8:00 AM on 7/21/21.You have to wait until 8am to book the room you’re trying to book I believe is the problem?
If your current check out day is the 21st then you don't really have a walk going. Right now you don't have anything blocked off which is the point of a walk. What you need is the 21st and forward otherwise you're just picking up dates that you don't need as others drop them.So I managed to get June 14th -21st in a 1 bed value.
so I assume I add each day that it comes available and then every few days, move the reservation towards my travel date of late July 2022
just hope gaps don’t end up appearing.
This walking lark is a bit of hassle
