As @JETSDAD pointed out, you're not walking a reservation. What you're actually doing is following behind the walkers as they advance their dates. But that's okay if the end result means that you get your nights. I do it a lot with hard to get reservation like value studios. The problem of course is that everyone who is walking doesn't move their reservation forward right at 8:00 AM every day. So the night that you need could become available at 3:00 AM a week from today or at 3:00 PM tomorrow. It requires a lot of stalking to piece a reservation together this way but it can work.

The thing to remember about walkers is that they also had to actually get the room locked in at some point. Rooms are available to try to get into most days so it just comes down to the lucky few who get through first. There's just a lot of people in a very large resort competing for very few rooms.

Lol, when I first bought AKV several years ago I toyed w/ the idea of trying to get a club villa & stalked the availability calendar for awhile, I eventually gave up because I couldn’t even grab a couple days to start a walk, plus I’m west coast based & getting up so early got old.
