AKV SV recommendations?

We'll be staying at AKV in a Savannah View 1BR in late April. We've never stayed before. Are there any room requests I should be aware of? Some views better than others?

You may want to request something on the Zebra Trail, or more specifically on the Arusha or Uzima Savanna. Since you will be there prior to them opening Kidani the first of May, a Sunset Savanna view might be iffy. The animals have currently been removed from the Sunset Savanna to prepare for the new Savanna, etc. and are supposed to be back on April 15th I think, but you never know if there might be a delay. If the animals have been returned you won't have a problem. We had a Sunset Savanna view when we were there over New Years and we saw lots of animals right near our room.

The problem is that you will probably be fighting a whole lot of people for these same requests, so good luck!

For the U-shaped Jambo buiilding there are three savannas -- Sunset to the left, Arusha in the middle and Uzima to the right of the U. Sunset is currently the victim of on-going construction of the Kidani building and no animals are in it although it will reopen April 15 and most of the construction eyesore should be gone as Kidani opens May 1. Nevertheless, you may want to put in a request for view of one of the other savannas. Both are good.

Thanks for the pointers. I know the disruption to the sunset safari should be over by then, but I guess there is still a risk. I'll have to investigate further.
