In less than 2 weeks we will be staying @ AKV in a studio. I was wondering if they have a coffee maker in the room? Also, how is the construction/noise? Any thoughts/advice much appreciated.

Thanks:goodvibes

Yes the studios do have a coffee maker. Upon check in I would just request a room that does not overlook the construction. We requested Zebra Trail and it was lovely. Good luck and have a great trip!

You should also have a microwave oven, toaster and undercounter refrigerator.

Are dish soap and laundry soap furnished or do they need to be brought in. Also is there a good supply of shampoo and towels at the beginning of the stay.

Hope this will help you - a DISer "LIFERBABE" previously posted a great review of a AKV Studio with lots of pictures - click on this link to read it:

Or if you don't want to read the whole thread, here's the AKV kitchen photo she posted that also shows the coffee maker:

laundry soap is only provided 1-bedrooms and up - not in studio.

there is a supply of shampoo. there are 4 towels in a studio.

the laundry soap when it is provided is Tide. So I would bring my own.

To expound on what spiceycat said:

A studio and one bedroom will have four bath towels, two hand towels and four face cloths. If the one bedroom has the twin sized sleeper chair, it should up to 5, 2 and 5.

You can purchase additional towels if you need more.

Another quick question along the lines of the OP....in the picture above there's a sponge to do dishes. Is it usually a new sponge or one that is "cleaned" between guests?

And what is the blue area in the fridge?

Thanks!

You get a wrapped, sealed sponge for each guest.

The blue area looks like it might be for cans or bottles.

Thanks Deb. I was going to have to buy one to bring if I didn't know. My whole OCD about staying in a hotel. LOL
