Sorry if this has been asked a million times already, but does anyone know what the cost is per point and whether there are any incentives?

I'm assuming from what I've read here that they are selling to the general public now?

I believe it's $104 with an $8 per point incentive if you don't get '07 points. I did an add-on awhile ago, but I think that's what it is now.

Thanks Diane. It's that time again -- time for my annual pondering of the DVC thing.

So, if you don't get any 2007 points, it would be nice if they doubled up for 2008.

For new purchases (minimum purchase of 160 pts.)

AKV = $104 - $8 incentive = $96
SSR = $104 - $10 incentive = $94

OKW, HH and VB = $92
BWV = $98
VWL = $98
BCV = $101

You would get the 2007 points at AKV - but the resort will not open until Septmber for DVC stays.

My main excuse has been getting there. While the kids are still in school, we'd probably use our points during February or April breaks, and flying out of Central New York during those times is mucho bucks. Driving, quite frankly, is a pain in the butt. BUT, I know the boys (5th and 8th grades) will not be in school forever.

So why am I back on the DVC boards? I just got back from two nights in a studio at SSR and one night in a 1 bdrm at BCV with a dear friend, and I have the bug again. We didn't do any parks, and had a ball just hanging out at the resorts and DD. My friend has the bug too. She's got it bad for BCV. That pool is just over the top.
