Well our new AKV points have appeared on the DVC Member website, but there appears to be a problem with the site. The points that appear under the detail section do not match the points summary on the main points webpage. On points summary, the points seem to be offset by one year. In other words, 2007's points appear as 2008, 2008 points appear as 2009, etc. We have 290 points total, well under 2009 it shows we only have 230 available. That would be impossible as we couldn't have borrowed from 2009 yet. Like I said if you click on each contract and look at the details the points are correct. It's just the summary that is wrong. You think I should call MS about this or wait a day or so and see if it is a system problem and see if it is fixed. Has anyone else seen this happen.

Yes it is a system bug, and has been there since day one of AKV along with the null Resort Name. I have reported it and they are working on it......

And we all know how good WDW IT is:thumbsup2 :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Perhaps you should report it as well.

BTW this only affects my AKV membership, which is now showing an ACTIVE Ocotber 2007 UY, my other memberships show the correct 2006 Active UYs.

I predict 3 months to fix.

Both my AKV contracts seem to show correctly, but I'm missing 327 points at VWL. I called MS and thank goodness they show the right amount.
They did say the website has some major issues at the moment.

I think Tony is being optimistic with his 3 montrh prediction. :smokin:

I was going to call MS tomorrow for the same problem. My available points seem to be off by one year. What I should have available in 2008, shows as 2009. My new AKV points are correct, it's my older contracts that are off.

My AKV contracts just showed up in my account today and I now have the same problem. I sent email to MS to add my name to the list of people having this problem.

The Points Summary page now starts with the 2007UY rather than the 2006UY. The display of '07 point totals is actually the sum of my '07 AKV points and my '06 BWV and '06 VWL points. Similarly, the summary display for '08 appears to combine my '08 AKV points and with the '07UY point totals for my BWV and VWL contracts.

In the detailed displays for my BWV and VWL contracts, in the '07UY section the line item for "Points banked in" is zero which is not correct since I banked points from '06 into '07 in both of those contracts. However the total number of points available is correct in both cases. The '06UY section does show the correct number of "points banked out".

Just want to say thanks to all those who reported this problem here on the DISboards because as a result, I printed out my (correct) point totals a few days ago in anticipation of getting hit with this once my AKV contracts were added to my account.

I just got off the phone with MS to check my points and they are showing the correct number. In my case everything on the website is off by one year. I should have 302 points available June of 2008, but the website shows that the 302 points aren't available until June of '09.
I'm just thankful that MS is showing the correct amount!

I Reported the same problem a couple days ago with my 2009pts. glad its a common problem so it will be fixed. joan

I just want to make sure everyone else's totals are still messed up.

Mine are still wrong, and I just want to make sure it's not only me! ;)

Just checked mine a while ago and the problem has not been fixed. I'm guessing it's a programming error rather than a data entry error. Has anyone who bought into AKV NOT had this problem when their AKV points were added to their account?

I have the same problem as the rest of you.

Same problem here. I reported it yesterday before seeing this thread. The CM on the phone said IT is aware of the problem and working on it. Fortunately the totals that are behind the scenes are still correct just the website is messed up.

Just checking in ... I'm having the same issues ... it appears to only be on the main page. If I open each contract individually, it is correct.

FWIW, everything was fine at first for me, but when they reconfigured me for multiple contracts, it broke it. Basically, my issue is:

2006UY isn't shown.
2007UY shows only my AKV points.
2008UY shows what I should be getting in 2007 (AKV + others).
2009UY and beyond are fine.

I'm thinking the software developer didn't anticipate a situation where an account contains some contracts that are in their '06 UY and others that don't begin until the following UY. So the code executes a query for the number of available points for each contract for UYs greater than or equal to the current UY. The results for older contracts will be for UYs 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 but the results for any AKV contracts will be for 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010. So when the software combines the data from the first result across all contracts, it is the '06 UY data for older contracts and '07 UY data for AKV contracts. To get the UY to display for each block of data, it pulls it from the UY field in one of the query results and it appears it is pulling it from the AKV data, so that's why that first block is labeled "2007". So the "older" contract data hasn't shifted out a year, it's just mislabeled. It's the AKV data that has shifted forward by one year.

I suspect those with a Feb UY do not have this problem because both their older contracts and their AKV contracts are in the same UY (2007). If someone with a Feb UY can verify this, I would be very interested!

Would make perfect sense! ;)

February here and mine is showing up perfectly (well except the null part for resort in details). But on the summary page all looks fine, UY and points correct for all contracts.

Thanks for the info! :thumbsup2

I forgot about the "null" resort problem. Sounds like they have a few problems they need to fix. I also have a problem with the contract detail display showing an incorrect number of "points banked in". Fortunately the total number of points is correct.

That I cannot help you with. Last week on one of the AKV threads a fewpeople mentioned this problem so I have held off on banking anything until I heard the issue was resolved. I had planned on banking some online but was too worried to do it.

There is definitely something going on with this as I saw a notice on the website about not being able to bank online and to call MS.
