Hello All:

First of all my wife and I are leaving for our first trip home next week (for 11 nights) and cannot wait

We are arriving from an international flight on Thanksgiving evening and checking into a Savanah View Studio. We would like to get a great room of course and are looking for suggestions on what we should expect or request at or before check-in to increase our chances of getting a good room. Since we are checking in after 6PM on Thanksgiving (busy time of year) I am worried we might be stuck with the last room they have :scared1: and I would really like to avoid that.

Any help I can get from this very knowledgeable community would be most appreciated.

We prefer the Zebra trail side as closest to the pool.

BTW we arrive Dec 1st :)

I would request "not near the construction" which is on the Sunset Savannah side.

We just stayed on the Sunset Savanna last week. We had animals every time I looked out except once. We heard no noise from construction except 2 times I was sitting on the balcony I heard that back-up beeping from a truck. I loved this location. Our rooms were 5208 & 5209 (2BR villa). Our room was just across that special wooden bridge and we had to cross it to go to our room everytime. Very cool. We were located right above the check-in and were close to everything. :thumbsup2

HTH! :)

So, should I call MS and have a request put in for the sunset savanah like you would if you were staying on the hotel side or how should I work it? Do they pre-allocate rooms or how does DVC handle things in comparison to the resort side? Thanks :)

DVC do pre allocate but if you place a request with MS then they will try to accommodate if possible.

Claire ;)
