AKV Jambo question

We are getting a 1 bedroom standard view does the room include the jacuzzi tub?
Also can we request to be near the lobby?

yes regarding the tub, and the last time we were there, we asked for a specific room number and we got it and it was close to the lobby and the elevators that take you down to the pool areas and the CS area. I don't remember the room number but maybe somebody has the link where it shows the room numbers and the views.I know that we got a value at that time and had a view of the animals. But remember that it is only a request. Good Luck!

There are only (I think) 10 1br's Standard View. They are all on the 5th floor, I don't recall any being very far off the elevator bank. I have pictures if you would like to see any

The tub is jacuzzi/shower combo not a separate tub and shower.

We stayed at AKV in 2009 and stayed in a 2br. Here are the pics that might help you out.

Here is a link to a great Jambo House room map. Except for the rooms along the Giraffe Trail (which are Value rooms), the rooms encircling the pool area are Standard View rooms. Originally those were the only Standard View rooms but a year or so ago DVC reclassified many rooms with limited savanna views from Savanna View to Standard View. The following rooms have been reported here as reclassified rooms:

5203: studio, Lobby, Sunset side (hansel1)
5234: 1BR, Sunset, inside corner of first spur, "Fantastic savanna view" (Doug7856)
5238: dedicated studio by a stairwell, Sunset (Anal Annie)
5257: Studio, Sunset, near inside corner inside first spur, people pen (NHGoofy)
5384: studio, Sunset, next to exit stairs at end of Kudu trail
5528: studio, Uzima, in a corner next to last spur (b-1)
5543: 1BR, Uzima, in a corner on outside of last spur - not verified
5544: 1BR, Uzima, in a corner on inside of last spur (TwinsFan)
5545: Studio, Uzima, near a corner on outside of last spur (KAT4DISNEY)
5549: 1BR, Far side of last spur off Zebra Trail, near fence between Arusha and Uzima (mousefan1972)
