AKV, here we come. June 1-8 11/15.. Finally BACK!

Continued...

After lunch at Sci-Fi, we headed over to TOT. I took a better picture of the hat when we passed it. Oh boy, look at how crowded it was, lol.
IMG_7491.jpg

Tim actually went on. By the time we got back, it was only a 20 min wait.
IMG_7493.jpg

We walked right on with the FP, which was a waist. There was really no wait, lol. I kept asking Tim if he would be okay to go on and he said yeah. He had taken a dramamine, so he was okay.

I was able to get a picture of my friends.... every time I go on, I take this shot.
IMG_7520.jpg

Fun as always. Tim was okay, but that was the only time he went on with me. When we were walking off the ride, I noticed what looks like to me a hidden mickey. Something about these three gauges stand out to me. It's like they are more noticeable.

IMG_7521.jpg

and this is one of my favorites.
IMG_7522.jpg

After riding TOT, we decided to head back to the room to clean up for dinner. While I was walking down Hollywood Blvd, I noticed this really cute dress in the window. It was a black and white mickey dress with a pink band around the waist. I told Tim, "I have to have that dress." I did not go in the store to get it right then and there because I figured they would have it in Mouse Gear, and we were heading over to Epcot for dinner, so I figured I would just look there.

When I passed the movie theater window, I noticed the coins and thought that the 3 at the top looked like a hidden mickey.
IMG_7526.jpg

YAY! Street performers. Whoever started that rumor over on the theme parks board about them not being around anymore obviously had no idea what they were talking about. They were all over the place.
IMG_7524.jpg

LOL, Tim had gotten stopped by a person asking him to do a survey, lol. He always gets asked. He told them that we were leaving and he did not have time to do it. This was one that was going to take like 15 minutes.
IMG_7527.jpg

As we walked to our bus stop, we noticed the Friendship Boat (I think that is what it is called). Another thing that Tim falls asleep in, lol.
IMG_7529.jpg

The bus was right there when we got there, lol. I am telling you that we were so lucky with the buses, and there was nobody else on the bus, haha. When we got back to our room, our bags were there. Awesome. I unpacked while Tim passed out on the couch. I told him to nap for like an hour and that I was going to go down to the food court to fill up our mugs, walk around, and come back and take a shower.

I walked down to the pool area to go see the flamingos. I fell in love with them. There were some birds hanging out on the posts.
IMG_7532.jpg

It had rained for like 5 minutes, so the flamingos were shaking the water off their bodies.
IMG_7539.jpg

I thought that these were really cool. They are on the doors of the changing rooms by the pool.

for the women
IMG_7544.jpg

and for the men
IMG_7545.jpg

I finally made it to the food court to fill our cups and headed back to the room. Tim was still passed out, so I hopped in the shower. After I was done getting ready, I woke him up and we headed over to Epcot. Before we left, I wanted a picture of me on the balcony.
IMG_7549.jpg

When we made it to Epcot, it was not that busy.
IMG_7555.jpg

We stopped for photopass.. it is one of my favorite spots. This is not the photopass picture, though.
IMG_7557.jpg

IMG_7559.jpg

First stop was Club Cool! No we did not taste Beverly on our first visit during the trip... but we did later on in the trip, lol.
IMG_7561.jpg

After Club Cool, we went over to Maelstrom, which was only a 20 min wait, but we waited only 10 minutes.
IMG_7562.jpg

Fun as always. I pointed out to Tim the guy in one of the boats on the big mural who is wearing Mickey ears. Apparently he does not remember seeing it.

When we hit China, we stopped for some photopass pics that turned out really cute. I cannot wait to post the one. We had some fun with the hats though. They reminded me of Raiden from Mortal Kombat.
IMG_7566.jpg

IMG_7567.jpg

While Tim checked us into Beirgarten, I took a picture of the cuckoo clock going off and I noticed that this is from a scene in Pinocchio. Aww, I used to love the cuckoo clock scene in Pinocchio when I was little.
IMG_7570.jpg

We only waited like 5 minutes and we were in!
IMG_7571.jpg

We had a great seat with a great view of the show! I love when they play and the little kids come down to dance. It is so cute.
IMG_7572.jpg

Sorry, I was bad and took no pictures. I just was not in the mood to take them. Sometimes I just like to enjoy my meal and not have to worry about taking a picture. The food was delicious as always, though. I love the potato leek soup, the pretzel rolls, mac and cheese, macaroni salad, and the chicken. All of it is so good.

After dinner, I made my way over to Italy to grab a glass of Rosa Regale!!

Hey, great TR so far! Is that the cuckcoo clock that goes off as part of a Kim Possible mission?? I think so, but I'm not sure! Have you done any missions (so fun!)?

Looks like you are staying at Jambo, we are thinking of renting points there for a couple days. Do you know if the "value" studios are really small? Did you have a regular sized room?

Any my last question, how do you keep your energy level up after getting up at 3am??? I've never taken an early flight b/c knowing me I will not last the day lol.

Another giraffe #1 fan here

Yeay for Tim riding Tower of Terror!

Love all the Hidden Mickeys you found around the park! I hope you got the dress you were describing -- it sounds adorable!

The flamingos are too funny airing their wings after the rain.

I am super jealous of the low crowds you encountered! :goodvibes

Love the pic of Tim in the Chinese hat!

ooo, the mickey dress with the pink band, I took a picture of this cause I wanted it and wanted to remember it!!! It's on my phone, I'll have to see how to get those pics onto the pc.

Great updates :)

Wow, three updates already! You don't mess around when you start posting. I have to say again that I have missed your reports and am so glad that you're back! You always get such great photos!

Sure looks crowded in that photo of the sorcerer' shat. Wow, I need to go then!

Oh, and I about died laughing at the Tim story in the airport. My husband does that all the time on the airplane when he has his headphones on.

What an awesome picture!!!!! I really need to make myself ride it again. Chad has never let me live that one down!! :rotfl:

Great first day!
I love getting up really early for vacation.. it is so exciting!

What beautiful pictures!! Can I ask what type of camera you have?
Looking forward to reading more.... :goodvibes

YAY!!! You started!

That is so funny that you went to the wrong line at the airport. I would so do something like that. LOL...MCO looked eerily quiet. Your picture of the gate was awesome. Glad you got a front seat.

We love AKV as well. It feels like home for us as well (it's our home resort), but we stay at Kidani rather than Jambo House. We had a great time with the bus service as well. Minimal waits.

My DH refused to go to WDW in the summer unless we are there for SWW as well. He loves them.

What a wait and FP return time at TSM!!!!

You drew Goofy a whole lot better than I ever could. Great job! Great pictures on SoA!

Looking forward to more now.

LOL, I can be a total ditz at times, lol. It was nice and quiet there. That time for TSM was actually pretty good, lol. There have been times in May when it was a 120 minute wait. Wait till you see my Dale. Tim always makes fun of my drawings. We were cracking up with how my Dale turned out.

Love it. My boys would love to go during star wars weekend's.

Aww I am sure they would.

Kimi

Hi Kimi. The crowd level was great. Honestly we did not wait more than 30 mins for any ride. AKL is amazing!!

Super cute peace sign sandles where did you get them?
Thanks! American Eagle.

What a beautiful Ariel!!!!

She is a good one.

No, I have never done the Kim Possible mission, so I am not sure. Yeah we stayed in Jambo House. Love it there. I have never stayed in a value, we get a SV studio, so I am not sure. The studios are really big.

Oh, I always have energy. Maybe because my excitement keeps my energy level up, too. That night I passed out, though. lol.

Yeay for Tim riding Tower of Terror!

I did get the dress, but I had to search for it. I will tell you about it.

Aww, well it is nice to be back to posting. June is a great time to go. HAHA, do they not realize that they are screaming? LOL.

Continued....

After grabbing a glass of the best wine ever, I had Tim take my picture in two of the most pretty picture spots in Epcot.

In Italy...
IMG_7580.jpg

and Germany...
IMG_7582.jpg

Ohh and this is one of my favorite spots.. I believe it is in China. I apparently started a trend with this spot because some woman walked by with her teenage daughter and was like, "ohh go get your picture there." lol.
IMG_7584.jpg

We decided it was time to head over to the MK. While walking to the monorail, I noticed the Tron monorail. It is really cool!
IMG_7585.jpg

I said to Tim, "I don't think we are going to make it." We didn't. As soon as we got up to it, the doors closed, lol. Oh well.
IMG_7586.jpg

We just waited for the next one, which was yellow.
IMG_7593.jpg

The ride was nice. We love the monorail. Finally after a 10 minute ride, I was in the MK!!
IMG_7599.jpg

First stop was Pirates!

When we got off of Pirates, Dole Whips were calling our names. I snapped a few pics when I passed the magic carpet ride.

DOLE WHIP FLOAT!!
IMG_7615.jpg

After getting Dole Whips, I went and found us spots for the Spectro. We sat in Frontier Land right in front of the DVC booth, which was under a roof. Worked out well because it started to rain in the middle of Spectro.

Before the show started, I found what I believe is a secret in the MK. You know, something you find if you stop to smell the roses....but I have to get ready for work now, so I will talk about it in my next update.

I think your Goofy came out great! Tim's too. I love the Animation Academy.

I'm going to see TS3 at midnight too! :woohoo:

I love the pin of Hans Solo! The face is perfect! :rotfl:

You guys had a jampacked first day! I would've been ready to pass out by the end of it! Great start! :thumbsup2

PS - I'm totally craving a Dole Whip float now...

Great start! That dole whip looks so yummy. I can't believe I still have never tried one...I almost feel like that is a Disney crime everyone talks about them so much!

That is a cute picture of you by that tree. Oh, and I love your Vera too. ;)

Love this shot!
Aw man! You had to post this didn't you? Now I've got a craving.:worship: I found a diner about a 45 minute drive from our place that has dole whip. I asked if they could do a dole whip float and the girl at the counter looked at me like I had two heads or something! I couldn't bring myself to try it plain so next time I'm bringing along some Dole pineapple juice and I'll make my own! :snooty:

Yay you have started the report! I can't believe you have done so many updates, I haven't even started my report yet. I love the photos from Epcot, I love all of the scenery in World Showcase, makes for beautiful photos. :)

After seeing those pins I did some research, and apparently in August they are coming out with Star Wars Vinylmation figures, in the same designs as the pins. Mr. Arb cannot wait.

All caught up with your first day, some great photo's and great report as usual bless Tim falling asleep and shouting how he wants the window.

I love the Ariel tradition that you saw and spotted the Aurora and Prince Philip one in the picture behind you! I so need to get that.

Can't wait to hear what the spectro secret is.

Continued...

Now, I do not know if this is a Disney secret or not, but I have never heard about it on the boards. I love to stop and smell the roses in Disney. It is one of the pluses of getting to go to Disney a lot. Instead of having to worry about getting to this attraction and that attraction, you really get to soak in the atmosphere of each park and get to pay more attention to all the details. Well, I decided to check out the DVC booth in Frontier Land a little bit. I wanted to check for some hidden mickeys. I did not find a hidden mickey, but I did find a couple of paper books on the shelf.

IMG_7618.jpg

second row to the left, 4th box down

There were like 3 paper books. I examined the one on top to see if I could pick it up, so I did. The others are glued down. Well, when I opened it up, I noticed people had written in it. Different people on each page wrote a little story, so I decided to write a little something in it. Next time you are in the MK at night, go check it out and see what I wrote. It is not as creative as all of the other stories in the book, but just check it out next time you go if you want. Later on in the trip I went back to make sure it was still there and it was. Tim said I was nuts and that I should not have written in it. I know that it is some type of secret because that is the only one that you could actually pick up. The other 3 books are glued down.
IMG_7622-1.jpg

IMG_7621.jpg

When I was done doing that, Spectro was starting. YAY! Here are some pics. I never stood this close before.

I thought this was cute. It was a little parade of carts, lol.
IMG_7624.jpg

IMG_7627.jpg

LOL, he blew me a kiss, and Tim says, "Tough guy" under his breath. HAHA.
