Great start, can't wait to hear more! We were there May 28-June 1, went to DHS on Sat the 29th, happened to be morning EMH and by the time we got there at 9:00 Jedi Training was already full for the day, my son was so upset! The lines for the characters were so long, so we only got one, but he was happy with that. I agree about Boba's Bounty, walked right in and got the DVC SWW pin. Good luck on your test!

Hi Cheryl! Maybe as the SWW go into like the 3rd and 4th, it's not that bad. But people have their own opinion on what is busy. Sorry about the Jedi academy being full. We watched it and it is super cute.

You know what I can't figure out about MK? Whether it's crowded or not, there's always a 60 minute wait for Peter Pan! Why????

Maybe they'll extended Summer Nightastic especially for my birthday. I can dream, can't I?

It's because the boarding of the ride is so slow. I hope they extend it!!

Hey Lynn! First, that sucks about your itunes account. At least the bank is working to fix it.

I have had the same thing happen to me with crowds. I go in expecting it to be pretty bad, and it is the comlete opposite. I wonder sometimes about 2 people going at the same time and having 2 very different reports on crowds. Strange how it works. We went at the very same time last year, and it seems like we had the same experience. Gay Days were absolutely nothing. Like you, we totally would not have noticed if we hadn't known about it ahead of time. Glad you had the afternoon showers. I love to have them to cool things off a bit. Plus, they sometimes have a clearing effect on crowds. Can't wait to hear about Summer Nightastic. Unfortunately, we were there the week before you, so we don't get the chance to see it. Oh well.

I think I did. It was pretty easy. Earlier, when I first started the class, I was panicking and psyching myself out because I thought it was too much and too hard. LOL. I was just overwhelmed. Now, I love it. So, I think it went well

Chapter 1​

Well, it is time to get this show on the road. I do not have my photopass pics yet, but it's okay, I should have them soon.

Okay, so, we were up at 3:00 A.M. on the day we left. Our flight was at 6:10 A.M. I love early flights and the day before, I was up early to do 24 hour check in; we flew on Southwest. They are great. We always have great flights with them.

With the boarding passes in hand, we got in line to check our bags. As we were in line, I did not see the kiosks to check in, so I figured they changed that. Well, I get to the front, hand the lady our boarding passes and IDs, and she says to me, " You want Southwest, this is Air France." LMAO!!!!! WOW, it was way too early for me. I looked at Tim and said, " Way to have my back, lol." He didn't notice either. Southwest was right next to Air France, LOL!!! DUH, we are going to Disney World, not Disneyland Paris.

That was mishap number one. When we made our way through security after checking our bags with Southwest, I again started to go into the wrong line; mishap number two.

Finally, we made it to the gate. YAY. I was a little hungry, so I went to look for something to eat. Well, the only place open was McDonalds, so I grabbed an egg mcmuffin and only ate half of it. Blah, I never eat McDonalds.

After I ate my breakfast, it was time to get on the plane! WOO HOO! We were Group A, so we got a good seat on the plane. Taking off was the best part! I love to take off!

It was a beautiful day, and the pilot told us that it was a gorgeous 75 degrees in sunny Orlando.

The flight was great! When we made our way to the ME, the place was empty.

I took a picture of Tim walking down to the ME. The bag on his left is our pin bag, lol! If you look at the clock in the picture, you can see that we made it there early; 8:45.

When we made it to ME, there was nobody there. We went right onto the bus. Now here comes mishap number 3, but I did not do this one. When the bus driver was leaving the airport, he hit the bar that he had to wait for to go up to go through, LOL!! Apparently it was going up, but then it came down, LOL. He busted on right through it, haha. I asked him if he was okay. He was fine.

We sat and relaxed after that and enjoyed the ride. There were only like 10 other people on the bus with us. We sat right in the front and I was happy because I could finally get this picture...

We stopped at Pop first, ASM and ASMu second, then the AKL!

That sign is right. Whenever we some here, we truly feel that we are at home. It is always like we never left.

When we checked in, I took a picture of the beautiful rug on the wall. I just love how bright and cheerful they are. I then stood and enjoyed the atmosphere and smells of the resort. I was in my happy place.

We were assigned to room 5584, and it was ready. YAY! The room was beautiful, and nice and clean as always. I love the bed.

After settling in, it was time to head to the bus stop and head to DHS! On the way out, I shot a picture of an amazing art piece in the lobby.

When we got to the bus stop, the bus came right away, lol! The bus service was great the whole week for us. We practically had the bus to ourselves, it was great. And like always, Tim fell asleep, lol.

Great update!! OMG I was laughing so hard when you went to the wrong counter at the airport!! I think you posted that on FB but it is still funny now! That is way too early for me too....
at Tim and his pin bag...you must get the funniest looks when going through the xray at airport security!!

Funny story about getting to the wrong counter at the airport! But, you would have loved DLRP too! The castle is pretty spectacular!

I was real impressed by Tim's pin bag - it's HUGE and it must be super heavy!
And how cool is it that your room was ready and the view was real wonderful! Love those giraffes "right" outside the window! Brings back so MANY happy memories!

Great start! I would definitely love to stay at AKL one day. Eventually I would like to try all of the resorts but AKL is definitely near the top of the list Can't wait to read more!
