AKV, difference of Dedicated SV and just SV

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between a Dedicated SV Stuidio and a SV Studio?

A dedicated studio is a studio that is not attached to a 1 bedroom. The other type of studio is half of a 2 bedroom lockoff where they can rent the 1 bedroom and studio seperately or combine them into a 2 bedroom.

The other difference is that because there is no connecting door, they can put something else in its place, like a closet. There are so many variations in the floor plans in Jambo House that it's hard to predict how any given studio will be set up but in general, most (?) of the lockoff studios in Jambo House will have just an armoire in the room while at least some of the dedicateds will have a closet. Thanks, right now we are staying one night in the dedicated sv and the rest in a regular sv, so I am on a waitlist to just stay in one room the whole time. I just wasn't sure what the difference was.

I am going with a friend in December and I will be the one to take the sofa bed. I'm average size and am appropriate weight to height. Now before anyone thinks I'm being I'm just mentioning that so he can evaluate the situation correctly. Please, please, thank you, thank you.

I have become so paranoid over this, I have seriously considered cancelling my reservation and moving over to CSR with the current special just so I can have a "real" bed.

I will lay on it and report back, but since it's new, I think it will be just fine.

On a somewhat related topic, do we know yet the distribution of value studios? The proportion that have savannah views, specifically?

On a somewhat related topic, do we know yet the distribution of value studios? The proportion that have savannah views, specifically?

So far, they have officially declared 6 savanna view Value studios (2 lockoff studios in Unit 49 and 4 dedicated studios in Unit 50) and 8 pool view Value studios (2 lockoffs in Units 46 and 48, 4 dedicated studios in Unit 47). Unit 51 will fill up the blank space next to Unit 50 and will most likely contain 2 2BR lockoffs. That will bring the total of savanna view Value studios up to 8, equal with the pool view total.

There will be villas on the 5th floor of the lobby area but I don't know if they will be Value villas or not. It's also possible that the rooms on one side of the lobby are larger than those on the other side, creating more pool view Value studios than savanna view, for example, but I really don't know. We'll have to wait and see what the floor plans look like when they declare the Units in that area.

It looks like there will be only one unit with a parking lot view. It is that area behind Unit 49. I expect it will contain 2 2BR lockoffs, in which case there will be 2 Value studios with a parking lot view.

Wow, what great detail, thanks! So it appears that odds will be roughly 45% savannah view, 45% standard view, and 10% parking lot view. I wonder how successful requests would be in terms of view choice.

Would anyone happen to know how many units total will be in Jambo and possibly how many of each type?

We are buying in at AKV and were told by our guide that the 5th & 6th floors were the area being converted for DVC. I believe I saw that the 6th floor is all concierge and some of the 5th as far as the hotel rooms go. Are all of the hotel rooms on these two floors being displaced by DVC villas or will some remain?

Also, any idea on total number and how many of each type for Kidani?

I saw the press release from October of last year mentioning 134 Jambo & 324 Kidani and was wondering if these totals remain the same or have been revised.
