Yes. In the 1 bedrooms they have the shower and tub side by side, so what are they doing with the extra space? Sorry for all the questions, my wife and I love AKV and are super curious on the refurb!

Oh ok ive never stayed there so I didnt know that! I am kicking myself for not asking more questions, what was i thinking lol!

We will be gone when she comes back to clean, staying till closing at epcot, but if she calls back for follow up or shoot ill call her back tomorrow, ill ask her lol!

I feel like there's going to be pictures by friday of the refurbishment. Im going to ask every day to see it im curious too, I don't mind your questions at all, we are very excited!

Rereading. Amazed no one asked about the new points charts.

Because the majority of the owners are not into it like DVC. And they only answer what is asked.

Both of them. We are staying at Jambo and she assured me that they wont be here after the refurb (not something I wanted to hear despite it being dirty!) And that the Kidani model is already done.

RIV has not had a hards good refurb…these tubs may go when they do.

We just ate at the Mara to see if the complaint was true, the food was delicious, my favorite Flatbread and chicken strips qs on property so far. AKL has unique/more exotic food items like the chicken strips are BBQ jerk and the Flatbread was a really good tomato roasted one, if people want basic food this is not the hotel.

I def feel that saying it was consistently bad was completely ridiculous, not sure what people are expecting but we will def eat here again

See for me this another non DVC meeting issue. Food wont be amazing al the time but taking up valuable DVC meeting time for this is ridiculous imo.

It was just confirmed to me by housekeeping that all Jacuzzi tubs at AKV are being replaced. This is very disappointing to me and I dont understand why it has to be this way when Riviera has them.

Housekeeping told me that the jets are too hard to clean and that its being replaced by a beautiful shower with glass doors. I dont understand why they felt Riviera's wasnt to hard to clean.

Maybe something to entice new buyers and then get rid of it.

With that being said, we are actually being prevented from going to the parks right now because the tub is so dirty due to the jets and we need to take a shower so I guess it makes sense even tho we're disappointed.

Disney cast members genuinely seems pleased and confident with the refurbishment and very confident were going to love it.

Housekeeping cm was smiling from ear to ear telling us how wonderful it is (or maybe happy that they dont have to deal with the tubs ) ive been told it is wonderful several times so now I am super excited for friday!

It’s because the majority of owners don’t really understand what is DVC and what is hotel.

It’s like the complaints at VGF about the Perch.

I think opinions should for the most part be left out of the meetings. People tend to think of just what they themselves like and thats irrelevant because someone else may like what they don't

I should have pointed this out. I wanted to stand up and say i disagreed about housekeeping charging for one night stays but ill keep the drama out of the meeting

Jambo 1BR have only the huge Jacuzzi tub/shower, so it sounds like they're replacing it with a walk-in shower, no tub. I don't know what they expect people to do with small kids who don't like/won't tolerate a shower - get a 2BR?!!

In Kidani 1BR since there's already a shower as well as a tub in the primary, they can replace the Jacuzzi tub with a soaking tub and leave the shower where it is.

I hate the current tub in the Jambo 1BR - can't get in and out of it safely because the rim is just too tall and wide. If they replace it with a walk-in shower, I might consider booking Jambo again - but probably not, because I imagine the bathroom will still be across the hall from the bedroom, not ensuite, and I hate having to be modestly clothed when moving from bedroom to bath if someone is in the living room!

I do think it would be a fairer system (other timeshares adopt for example housekeeping credits). But I also think DVC was created with maximum flexibility (at the expense of costs) so it wouldn't be fair for people who bought exaclty for that reason.

I want to clarify that I had no idea that Kidani did not have jacuzzi tubs when I posted this and housekeeping told me all Jacuzzi tubs will be gone so if Kidani didnt have one then it doesnt apply there.

I said both Kidani and Jambo will have the jacuzzi tubs replaced and that clearly doesnt make sense so I apologize she just told me they'll all be gone so I assumed at both.

I have no idea if tubs will be removed completely just the jacuzzi ones and I will try to get more info.

Kidani does have a jetted/jacuzzi tub in the 1 bedrooms. They just have an additional smaller bathroom, like BLT does in the one bedrooms.

We stayed in a BWV one bedroom last Nov following a refurb and they didn’t eliminate the tub although I have no idea if it was jetted prior to the refurb or not. Would find it hard to believe they wouldn’t replace the jetted tub with a regular version.
