AKV Concierge...worth it for 1 night

DH and I are going to Disney Jan 16-20 2009. We only have 13 points available (had 3 great stays in the past year!) and we can stay in pretty much any studio for 1 night. Is it worth staying in AKV concierge studio? It will be the night before we leave to fly home.

I think your last night is a great chance to enjoy the concierge. You can take advantage of the lounge for snacks/drinks before bed and for putting your feet up before heading off to the airport. You may not be able to use their services for planning/booking adrs but you'd definitely find out if you'd like to for a later trip. Enjoy!

The problem will be booking it. There are 5 2BR lockoffs in Concierge. Most get "locked off" and rented as 1BRs and Studios so there are at most 5 studios and more likely only 3 or 4. You are well inside the 7-month window as well so you will need a lot of luck! Call MS and see if it's an option for you and if it is, grab it.

If you can get it, and if you will be able to really spend much of that day at AKV, then I'd say go for it. You could check in early (7am-ish) and enjoy the lounge offerings for a quick breakfast and then enjoy the resort and the concierge lounge that day.

It's just my $.02, but if you have other plans for that day and really won't be spending much time around the resort I don't think it's worth it.

unless you've already booked it, I would be surprised if you can get it. There are very few concierge rooms and they book up fast.

Thanks for all the input! I only just booked airfare this morning, and I'm waiting to talk to DH tonight as to hotel location. I was just flipping through the point tables and noticed that AKV concierge was an option. I honestly don't care where I stay - I'm at WDW .
