AKV Concierge booking help?

From what I heard "through the grapevine", yes, it's being done often by more than one or two members. It's kind of a herd mentality that when one person does something the rest of us feel the need to do the same so as not to be left out. This is why I hope they close this loophole before it gets even more out of hand. I will also write a letter then to MS and see if I can at least get a feel that they're working on a solution. I'm not sure what an easy solution would be though that doesn't end up hurting all of us- anyone have any ideas?---Kathy

I booked AKV concierge this weekend for next June for 4 nights. Called at 9 AM 11 mos before check-in day (I agree with everyone - day by day was much easier than walking sounds - I cannot deal with that nonsense!! and I hope they put a stop to it). Wonderful MS CM, Darren, took great care of me - excellent service - so I guess I was lucky, too!

I don't think this new booking policy will hold - there will eventually be many unhappy DVCers, IMHO - and the new policy does not give everyone a 'fair' chance to make a reservation for a given day without resorting to 'games'!

Kathy, I couldn't agree with you more! Rest assured that MS is very aware of this dialogue regarding walking and - as I've been in touch with them about it - they aren't going to be tolerating it. They don't want the loophole and they are going to try to close it.

Be careful what you wish for. Remember that a solution like that would hurt those not walking as much or more as those who are walking.
