AKV Concierge and Value

I am so glad that DVC has let us owners know what's going on. Today our letter came that as of December 1, those rooms will be available for booking, and owners can begin booking them as of June 13th. As of June 27 the members who do not own can begin booking those types according to the 7 month openings.

My understanding is that they do not all have a view of the Savannah.

I didn't get the letter but since the OP listed both Concierge and Value rooms as available, then it sounds like the last phase of construction in Jambo House is way ahead of schedule (originally scheduled for May '08). So assuming they are talking about the 6th floor rooms, there are 5 2BR lockoffs on that floor (up to 10 rooms total if you split all of them into 1BRs and studios). Of those 5 lockoffs, 2 of them face the pool, 3 of them face the Sunset Savannah. You can request savanna view, but it is not guaranteed.

I have completely confused myself! As a non-AKV DVC owner, I can call on June 6th to try to book AKV. Are the only booking options the standard and savannah rooms as of June 6th? No value or concierge villas available to book until later in June? Thanks!

Non-AKV owners can start booking values and Concierge villas on June 27th.

I was told via email from MS a few weeks ago that the concierge rooms will not be available until May 1st, but we can book them on June 13th for stays arriving past that date. So...are the rooms in that category now available for stays prior to May 1st? I haven't gotten my letter yet so I'm not sure if the information is updated from what I heard from MS. There are only 6 concierge rooms so I think there will be alot more disappointed members than ones doing the happy dance. I guess we should all be flexible with dates when possible if trying to score a concierge room.---Kathy

Yes, we can book concierge for stays starting December 1 instead of next May 1.
