We try to do 1 character meal during our stays to wdw for our toddler. She will almost be 3 on our next trip and has become obsessed with the princesses. We won't be on the dining plan but want to splurge on this one meal...which one would you choose? Breakfast, lunch or dinner? I think the price difference between the 3 meals is like $7-9, so I guess that's not really a factor. Or are we crazy for paying OOP for this meal...?

I would check the menu and see if the food appeals to you. We usually do the breakfast. The food is more "normal", for lack of a better word. They serve more traditional Norwegian food at lunch and dinner. Breakfast is typical breakfast food. Eggs, sausage, bacon and really great cheesey potatoes. There is also a pastry, fruit and cheese buffet. There really isn't anything on the lucnh or dinner menu that appeals to my family. That said, I think it is totally worth it. I think it is one of the better character meals. I'm sure your little princess will love the interaction with the princesses.

We have only ever done the breakfast and it is one of our favorites, I make an ADR for before the park opens on our first full day at the parks (kind of a family tradition for us). The cold buffet is really good and has fruit, cheese, meets, lox, bagels with cream cheese, yogurt and different toppings for it, and different breakfast pastries. Then they give you at your table scrambled eggs, sausage links, bacon, and a cheesy potato casserole which is by far the best thing ever, and they have no problem bringing more to your table if you run out. We have thought of going for lunch or dinner sometime but since my DH and both of my DDs are not that much of adventurous eaters, we just stick with the breakfast.

We have eaten both breakfast and lunch, we LOVE the breakfast!! It is a must for us on every trip! We prefer Akershus to CRT. Enjoy!!

Yep, add my vote to breakfast. (Although, we have only done breakfast ) I have heard others complain of the food choices at lunch and dinner. We had a wonderful breakfast there last week with our 2dd. First...fantastic coffee! Buffet has nice selection of pastries and yogurt fixin's bar. Yes, there are cold fish salads, lox, etc...they were good too. Hot foods are brought to your table.
The princesses were wonderful! They are really sweet and interacted with all the guests. We dined at the castle with Cinderella, but Akerhaus was way better for food, atmosphere and price - and Cinderella was here too!
Do it, your princess will love it!

We have had lunch and dinner. It is probably my least favorite table service. Not too crazy about the food either time and we are very adventurous!! We are trying breakfast this time. I always feel like the lunches/dinners are a better value, but we'll see how I feel after this time. It just may be our last Norway meal...:)

This was one of our favorite character meals. We did breakfast and loved it. Your daughter will love it if she likes the princesses. We got a free 8x10 with Belle and the other ones came to the table. We were on the ddp, but I remember the cost being $112.00 for four of us. (I only remember b/c our dinner the night before at MM was $111.00). We had an 8:10 reservation and then were able to hit Epcot early, which was great. Enjoy!

thx so much for the suggestions, breakfast sounds like the meal to do! On a side note, I don't eat beef or pork does anyone have any idea of they have turkey or chicken sausage/bacon?

breakfast really is the good choice. We found the food at the other meals to be a little on the "weird" side. We are not adventurous at all!

Also, breakfast should be the least expensive.
