So I’ve been doing universal and waiting for FP to come back and we are really betting on them being back for the anniversary. So I’m planning a trip the weekend of the 3rd of October. We are a family of 6 with limited options and kind of mailed it in with a reservation at the cabins, not knowing for sure if we will go (won’t go without fast passes).
We would ideally stay somewhere with connecting rooms though I know that’s not a guarantee and we may end up picking up two Poly rooms. Our ideal would be two rooms at AKL. As far as I can tell the suites are sold out. I assumed AKL was sold out too but just realized today it’s not even open yet? I went several pages back and couldn’t find much about it. Is it in fact closed? Is there an expectation of an opening date?

Yes, AKL is still closed, and they haven’t announced an opening date. Keep checking though, because there’s no way to predict when they’ll make an announcement or how far in advance of the opening date.

The hotel rooms at AKL have not reopened. The DVC rooms at both Jambo House and Kidani Village at AKL are open. Sometimes they can be booked through the regular Disney website or phone number.
