Akl What Trail To Request?

What is the best trail and floor should I request if we are booked for poolview room and want to be close to lobby/pool and have best view? TIA

Great question. I would like some help as well. We will be there Oct 18 - 22 and have a savannah bunk bed room. The hotel seems booked that week as there is no availability left on the website and I understand you can put in a preference but can't request a specific room.

Pool view rooms are only on Giraffe and Zebra Trails. We have stayed in both. Giraffe is the closest to the bus stop and has really woody views of the pool area. Zebra is our preference. The poolview rooms on Zebra trail are across the hall from the savanna views. There are large windows and viewing areas along the corridor. We could see the animals anytime we went outside our room. Our pool view was great too. Very quiet. We had room 4426 on Zebra Trail. Check the maps on allears or Will's site.

If you're going prior to Dec 1, 2007....I'd say Zebra Trail.

The construction going on at AKL right now, to convert 5th and 6th floor rooms to DVC accomodations, will be focused on the lobby area rooms and Giraffe and Ostrich trails until around mid-November (unless they get even further ahead of schedule) with those rooms opening on Dec 1st.

In the interests of being away from the construction (just in case...impact has reportedly been minimal of late), I'd request Zebra Trail, where all the construction is complete and DVC rooms were all open on Sept 1st.
