AKL vs. BWI?

Thanks everyone!! Ironically, I have completely switched gears and am now between BC and Poly, leaning heavily toward Poly (only $150 more than BC) Funny how everything can change in a second! I can't thank everyone enough for being so timely and putting so much effort into your responses

If you'll be swimming at the resort pool, BC has it all over Poly.

We stayed at AKL last June and will be at BW this June. I would choose Boardwalk if you are not doing the savannah view. I spent a lot of time in the mornings doing work and watching giraffes and zebras... it was awesome! The distance from the parks bothered me though. I suggest BW because of the close proximity to the other parks but I am concerned by the lack of counter service options at BW.

I just saw this... that is a tough call. I have stayed at both. The pool at BC is awesome but the Poly is closer to MK and has the monorail.... tough call. Since ou have stayed at BC, I would suggest the Poly.

This is a little off topic but you mentioned waiting to get your quotes back from your travel agent. Have you considered renting from a DVC rental company? this might stretch your $$ and you might be able to get a bigger room for the same amount. You can use the online calculators to figure out the cost. This would actually be a good time to book a November trip with DVC. Just a thought. It is very manageable to plan your own disney trip and get tickets on undercover tourist.

I agree with others who have noted that AKV despite being a little further away will give you the feel of getting away from the parks for a bit -- if that is the kind of trip that you are looking for. If you want to be in the middle of everything then Poly and BCV might be what you are looking for.

We're probably in the minority, but we like the Poly pool better as we weren't wow'd by SAB. SAB is a nice pool, but it's not at the top of the list for us.
