From AKL to Hoop De Doo, would I take the bus to MK and then the boat to FW?

I'm mainly concerned about returning back to AKL. At what times do the boats stop running, and the busses, too? I think someone said a late seating at HHD ends at about 11 PM. I would hate to have to take a taxi back to AKL.

Can anyone help?

Yes, your best bet would be to go to the MK, and then transfer to the Boat there. If you happen to be the only ones on the MK bus, mention to the driver that you're going to the Hoop Dee Doo. Sometimes there's a chance they can take you directly, since its on the way. (I can't promise that, though... it's not always possible)

As for the late show, they do have buses back to the resorts after the last HDD show. Those buses are usually at the Outpost. Check with a Bus Driver for more details when you get out. (they're always changing, trying to be more efficient)

OK now for the unexpected monkey wrench...

DH will not be going to the parks with us, so he won't have an MK ticket to use the boat to get to FW HDD.

So, is there a bus directly from AKL to FW for Hoop Dee Doo, or are we left to our own devices? Tyler, are you still out there??

He doesn't need a park ticket to use the boats. The transportation is set up so that you do not actually have to enter MK to get on the monorail, buses, or boats.

GoldenOldie, thanks so much. I feel relieved now!

The boat from MK is the best option because it loads and unloads very near the hall where the Hoop Dee Doo is located.

Fort Wilderness is a large area and if you go to the front, you then change to another bus to go to the back (where the show is). The boat, however, drops you off at the back with only a short walk.

Getting back? Not sure, but it all else fails there should be a bus from FW to DD, right? Those things run very late, then you can take a bus from DD to AKL. THat will take awhile, but if you are stuck and you don't want to take a cab that should be an option. Ask the CMs are AKL guest services.

Asking a bus driver would be a better choice... there are some folks in Guest Services who might not be familliar with how Fort Wilderness transportation works, and might end up giving out bad information.

Except if you take a bus from Disney-MGM or the TTC. They both drop you off right at the Settlement Depot.
