How should I travel from AKL to GF?

AKL->AK->GF?
AKL->EP->monorail->TTC->GF?
AKL->MK->monorail->GF?

AKL>MK>GF via boat or monorail is usually my choice.
But you can also just head over to AK and bus to GF from there. Depends on time of day.

Don't forget if the OP got the bus from the Animal Kingdom it will stop at Blizzard Beach, Contemporary, and Polynesian before arriving at the Grand Floridian.

If BB is open you will stop there. You may or may not stop at one of the other two monorail resorts on the way from AK to the GF. We stayed at the GF within the past two weeks and definitely did NOT stop at both the CR and the Poly. In know we didn't stop at the CR and I don't think we stopped at the Poly either, but I could be wrong about the latter.

I would use the AKL-AK-GF route only if you've just missed an MK bus and an AK bus arrives quickly.

The best route involves AKL-MK-GF, IMO. It's a long monorail ride around, so if there's a boat on the way in to the dock I would catch that because it goes directly to the GF from the MK. You have to pass the boat docks on the way to the monorail from the buses, so it's pretty easy to see what the status of the boats is. Also, make sure you catch the resort monorail; not the express monorail if you go that route.

Well in my experience when taking the bus from the Animal Kingdom back to the Contemporary once the bus arrived I saw that it listed the Contemporary/Polynesian/Grand Floridian as it's three stops among the resorts. Plus if Blizzard Beach was open and during the times it was, then it always stop there before returning to the resorts.

During normal, daytime service, the bus from AK will stop at BB, Wilderness Lodge, and then GF. Contemporary and Poly are a separate bus.

Before 11 a.m. and after AK has been closed for a while, it's possible the routes could be combined, into a single bus stopping at any or all of the 4.

Personally, if it were me...I would take the bus to MK, then hop on the boat to GF. The monorail takes too darn long. IF there is no monorail there, boarding as you walk up, or at least coming in, you could have a longish wait. Then, it takes almost 20 mins to get from MK to GF via the monorail.

I guess you could always take the bus to Polynesian from AK and then go one stop on the monorail to the GF.

On average the resort monorail only takes 12 - 15 minutes from MK to GF and usually run every 3 - 4 minutes. Given the drop off location for Buses at MK walk to the contemporary and just catch it from there.

Boats to GF are okay however just like the monorail you do have to wait for them and depending on where you are going at the GF once you dock it can still be quite a good hike from Dock to Destination.
