Thanks for the party carol/ houston. The days are really winding down. :woohoo: :cool1:

BTW, I used to live in TX. We lived in Longview and then a little town called Groom it was right outside of another little town called Pampa.

So you're not wavering anymore, are you??!!?

I've started a pre trip report to keep myself busy and away from making changes to my "flawless" itenerary. :lmao: :lmao: I'd love yall to drop by and join in on the fun.:)

Hey guys, what's going on with ALK? I checked availability yesterday and all room catagories were open, today the resort is not available!!!! I also checked without the free dining package and the resort is still unavailable. So, I called CRO and they also said not available. What's up? Our dates are Sept. 8-13.

Just decided to drop a little note. One of the DDs is at a slumber party and the other DD has a friend over here. DH is outside mowing so I have a major addiction to the DIS and thought I'd drop in to wish everyone a great Memorial Day weekend even though it's a late wish.

Can I join in on the fun?????

DH, DMIL, DD4, and I will be at AKL Sept 6-12, savannah view!!!! Woo HOOOO!!!!!!!!

We booked back in Feb and then DH kept hinting that we weren't going to go. Then we got free dining and he still kept the hints going. Grrrrr!!!!

Finally, DH's mom said that she wanted to go and we added her to the ressies. Still, DH was being jerky......that is, until DMIL bought her plane ticket down here so she can drive with us and started putting stuff away in a drawer to pack. Now there is no way for him to get out of it.

DH GOT OWNED BY HIS MOMMY!!!!!!!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Welcome MissLiz! We will be at AKL some of the time you are there. I'm a MIL so I can relate to what you are saying. :cool1: My daughter is the Disney planner so I don't really fit the same situation as you have. I travel a lot with my daughter and her family. :goodvibes Thankgoodness I have such a wonderful son-in-law. He usually just goes with the flow...whatever we want to do is okay with him. :thumbsup2 Can't wait for our trip!! :yay:

Glad you came abord MissLiz. I am carol/houston's daughter, so I will also be at AKL the same time as you. We are really looking forward to our trip and staying at new resort. We loved free dining last year and can't wait for it again this year.

Thanks for the great welcome!!!

My MIL is the BEST!!! She has called almost every day to ask DH more questions.....she hasn't be to DW since right after AK opened, so she is really excited!

We loved free dining last year and this will be our first time at a deluxe resort. We are also keeping it a surprise from DD4. But, since I talk about DW all the time, she doesn't know the difference if we are going or not going.

Ktink:
Now I have to ask what brought you to the land of the Panhandle? We lived in Borger for several years and about half of that time I worked in Pampa. And though I have never spent much time in Groom, I have stop there to visit the cross. And many of the years before and after living in the panhandle we lived in Western OK and traveled to work in the panhandle several times a week. Always amazing to see how small the world (non-Disney world that is) is and how often we criss cross with other people.

For those not familiar with the cross, Groom has a tiny 19 story cross that celebrates Jesus. It can be seen from ±20 miles away.

It is a small world! Actually my dad worked for HCA Hospitals doing the electrical work for the hospitals in many different areas that were being built. I was in the 2nd grade at the time and loved that the school had an indoor swimming pool that we could use during PE class. I think that's why I remeber the town so well.

Just wanted all my AKL friends to share in my joy.....WE ARE IN THE DOUBLE DIDGETS!!!!!!!! :yay:
Let's all party!
:rockband: party:

I pray the time goes fast until then and then nice and slow while we are there to enjoy it.

I'm waivering again. :sad2: I think that we will be doing a split stay between ASMu and Polynesian. Our first 2 nights we'll be at MK until midnight so I thought it would make more sense to stay at a value due to the legnth of time we would be in the rooms. I don't want to loose free dining so I will stay there for 3 nights and then our last 3 nights this would allow us to upgrade to Poly w/out me feeling guilty. We would have 2 free dining packages and both would be cheaper than what we have for AKL. I think I could live w/ this but will sleep on it and make sure it's the right thing to do.

space ranger predicted this so I will place the blame on space ranger. I really didn't want there to be any false predictions out there. :rotfl2:

I'm glad I could be of "use" and will try to use my powers only for good. :wizard:

If anything we could blame DIS for allowing us to have so much information and discussions that we become a danger to ourselves! And I would not have it any other way. ;)
