Could someone explain the difference between the savannah view and the deluxe savannah view? Is the difference in the view, or in the size of the room?

Also, I know there are 3 different savannah's; is one perferable to another? I am currently booked in a standard savannah view, and am just curious as to what I will see or what I should try to request.

THANKS!

Deluxe refers to the size of the room and extra ammenities... they are just slightly larger than the standard rooms and mostly located on the 5th floor. Some of these rooms have a day bed and I believe they all have robes.

I recall them having upgraded toiletries on my trip last year, but I have just returned and the normal mickey soaps etc... were in the deluxe room.

I would request the Arusha Savanna.. this is the large horseshoe shaped savanna. The other savannas are Sunset and Uzima and I don't think they are as pretty IMHO... but they all offer great views of the animals.

Have fun

It gets confusing when talking about rooms at AKL versus the other resorts. The other resorts commonly have a standard view room that is the least expensive. AKL has standard, pool, and savannah VIEW rooms and standard and deluxe savannah SIZE rooms. So, if you're talking about a savannah view room, it could be either standard size (sleeps up to 4) or deluxe size (slightly larger, on an upper floor and some rooms have a daybed). Don't know why they make it so confusing!
