AKL room advice

Hello, new to this. We are staying at AKL in April. I have a 4 1/2 y/o boy and almost 3 y/o girl. We are staying in a standard savannah room - Queen with bunks. I understand the Arusha savannah is the only one with zebra's. Does anyone have advice on what level (1-4) to try to request for a room with a great view? Thanks- any advice on making this a great trip for my kiddo's would be greatly appreciated. Imanmom

We were on the fourth floor and it was great. My guess is that the best would be third floor. First floor might not give you an expansive enough view.

We looked out onto the Uzima savanna and it was also great. I agree Arusha is the nicest, but I wouldn't stress out too much as it is a beautiful resort and you can see the Arusha every time you walk from your room to the lobby out the many lookouts and windows lining the corridors, as well as the many lookouts on the ground.

If your little ones are into zebra's, we were mid way down the Kudo Trail/Arusha Savannah and had a great view of the zebras every day. It must have been their feeding spot. If you want an easier walk to the pool and Mara, go with the Zebra trail. It is a great resort with lots of good views.

Welcome to the DIS! You can't go wrong with third floor. You will love AKL. The kiddie pool and play area is a little off the beaten path, so make sure you search it out! And take the kids to the storytelling by the fire pit.

We were on the Kudu Trail, but on the side that overlooks the same animals as the Sunset Overlook. We were on the second floor (the floor below the lobby) and it was almost like the giraffes could look into our room.

I think the giraffes on the Arusha Savannah hung out more toward the zebra trail. We did see them on the kudu trail but not as much as the zebras.
