We will be staying at AKV (Kidani) next trip and although I already have all of our meals tentatively planned, I am rethinking them and wondering if we should include more of the resort restaurants. As it stands now, we are only doing Boma from breakfast. But we could somewhat easily add Sanaa for lunch and Boma for dinner (especially if our plans to fly work out). We could also do Jiko for dinner but we'd have to drop another signature (Citrico's, Cali Grill, Flying Fish or Yachtsman).

So, in your opinion, is it worth it to do Boma for breakfast and dinner, Sanaa for lunch and Jiko for dinner if we are staying at Kidani? Also, which signature would you drop to add Jiko? And any suggestions for fabulous dishes at Jiko and Sanaa?

Stayed at Kidani last year and did also Boma for Breakfast, nice but not spectacular...enjoyed Jikos for dinner very much!

I'd skip flying fish!

Jiko is my favorite Disney restaurant and Sanaa is high on my list too.

I haven't been to Sanaa for lunch, but I really enjoyed the tandoori lamb I had for dinner when we visited. I don't think it's on the lunch menu, however. We've also gone to their lounge a few times for drinks and appetizers. The bread service is very good.

At Jiko, every appetizer we've ever had was delightful. I especially like their flatbreads. The entrées are difficult to recommend without knowing your taste. I will say that the new Amarula crème brûlée on the dessert menu is worth trying. Again, advising on which signature restaurant to drop to make room for Jiko is difficult without knowing your taste, but from your list, I'd probably be quick to drop the Yachtsman Steakhouse. It's a wonderful restaurant, but I think it's the weakest of what you've chosen.

I like to book ressies in the resort I am staying in because it is so much easier to get to them LOL

What about trying Sanaa? I have read tons of awesome reviews on the place.

I think Jiko is better than every signature on your original list except Flying Fish. It's quiet, dark, quite romantic; definitely gives you a more upscale experience than Ca Grill and has a lot better food than Yachtsman.

IMO, Saana is the best 1TS meal on Disney's dining plan.

Boma's dinner is the best buffet on property. I think the breakfast is okay; prefer the dinner.

Wow, we are staying at Kidani in Sept too. I am rethinking my plans. I think DH and I are going to do Jiko when MIL will watch the kids one night. I wasn't even thinking Sanaa but now I may do that one as well. I would love to try Boma but the kids HAVE TO go to Chef Mickey's every time and one buffet is enough for me.

To the OP, I was thinking Flying Fish too but I have decided to wait until I stay at a resort near the Boardwalk area. I tend to do my ressies (even if I have a car) near where I am staying. The chances of you going back to AKL/AVL in the near future is probably slim, so take advantage of the places close to "home."
