Hello! I have an Oct trip in the works I am so torn between AKL and BW. I feel like they both have their pros and cons...so I just need some advice/reviews.

Here is my pros/cons, so that you can either agree or debunk them, lol!

BW Pros:
-So many activities (Dh and I are in our mind 20s so this seems like an exciting place for us)
-The walk to EPCOT/HS!! This makes me giddy with excitement just thinking about it. (With the F&WF I feel like this is a +2 Pro)

BW Con:
-The bus system. DH and I had to use it after we dined at BW last time to get back to MK and we felt like for the $$ we would shell out for BW the bus transportation was awful. It seems like it too forever to get anywhere because you constantly had to stop and pick another resort up.
-Potential noise factor. But I'm don't think this will bother us.

AKL Pro:
-I believe it has it's own bus system and it won't make 20 stops.
-It's beautiful and I love the idea of all the animals!

AKL Con:
-It seems like it is far away from all our favs (AK is not a favorite)
-We wouldn't love all the food at the resort, I don't think. We aren't overly adventurous eaters.

These are probably silly but I feel like I would be booking BW if it wasn't for the bus thing...

So....DICUSS! TIA!:worship::thumbsup2:cool1:

My 2 cents? BW hands down given your specifics. For me, staying at an Epcot Resort as a couple in your mid-20's is a no-brainer. The fact that AK isn't even a favorite park of yours just seconds that. I think being within walking distance of Epcot and HS and being on the Boardwalk alone overshadows any concerns with slow bus service to MK in my opinion. I'm certain you'll have a wonderful time either way though!:thumbsup2

I would go with the Boardwalk because in my opinion they have the best theme/atmosphere among any WDW Resort. Plus having walkways to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios is a major plus.

As for their Buses when going to and from the Magic Kingdom they only share with the Swan & Dolphin, plus coming back the Boardwalk is the 1st stop. The only time they can be trouble is going to Animal Kingdom/Blizzard Beach and Downtown Disney/Typhoon Lagoon since they share with the Swan, Dolphin, Yacht Club & Beach Club, plus the Boardwalk is the last stop before those Buses reach their destinations. So who knows how many people would already be on them.

We personally love the AKL! It is one of our favorite resorts at WDW. AK is not our favorite park but we never had any trouble with their bus system. The restaurants (especially Boma) are great and they have many options for non-adventurous eaters. With that said, I think the best option for you would be the BW of the two. The BW is a great location and since you are going during F&W Festival it would be very convenient! I hope you enjoy your vacation! :)

My husband and I stayed at BW quite a few years ago when we were in our 20's and didn't yet have children. It was a beautiful resort and we loved the walk to Epcot. It was a great resort with a great location. Based on what you wrote, I'd go with BW.

Have a great trip!

Thank you guys so much for the advice, you are awesome! :worship: You tipped me over the edge. The more I thought about what you guys said, we probably wouldn't use the bus too much. To get to MK we'll just walk to the Monorail or something if I'm not feeling the bus.

We have stayed once at AKL and loved it. We are staying at BWV in June, and I can't wait!

Just so you know for planning purposes (and you may already know this :goodvibes), taking the monorail to MK from BW means walking all the way through Epcot. Not only does Epcot have to be open (which means you wouldn't make MK rope drop), but you would also need to have park hoppers since you would have to enter Epcot.
