We (DH, DD8 and I) were planning on staying at the YC for 1 night Jan.3 before our cruise so that we could finally swim in Stormalong Bay and then tonight I read a post about the pool closing for rehab Jan.-March so I called CRO and they told me the pool would be open in sections but the slide would be closed
. DD was in tears when I told her this. We had just booked at the great code rate but we really don't want to stay at YC if parts of the pool and the slide will be closed.
Now I am wondering if it is worth the extra $$ to stay at AKL vs. staying at one of the moderates. (AKL $164.00, moderate $85.00 with codes). I am so confused and disappointed right now. We have stayed at POR, CSR, and CBR in the past and liked them but I've thought it might be nice to try AKL. DH says we should just find someplace off site, we aren't going to the parks, it's only 1 night and we'll be heading to Port Canaverl by mid-morning but I love the Disney resort atmosphere and would really like to be on site.
Help me make up my mind on what to do!
