We have just made reservations for my 4y/o son to visit Simba's Cubhouse and the Neverland Club.

We will first be taking him to Simba's Cubhouse while we dine at Jiko. He has never played video games and may not be interested in watching a movie. Will there be some more "four year old" activities for him at Simba's? What did your 4/5 y/o enjoy about the club?

Same holds true for Neverland. If all goes well at Simba's, he will spend a few hours three nights later at the Neverland Club, while we dine at Citrico's. What did your _younger_ child enjoy while at the Neverland Club? Are there play kitchens or other imaginary play things to keep him busy?

Any other comments are welcome.

TIA

We left our DS/6 and DD/4 at the Neverland club last month. Although they both really like video games, DD does become a little bored with them. She told us that she watched a movie for while, there were arts/crafts for them to make, crayons and books, and so much more that she couldn't remember it all. They had a great time! DS even asked to go back a second night! You should have no problems. The caregivers are great with the kids.

We just used Simba's Cubhouse about 2 weeks ago. My kids, 8 & 4 both just loved it! So much so that they kept asking to go back again so we ended up using it twice!! My little one made pictures (her favorite thing to do) and she also played games. They have all kinds of toys in there for the kids. They will give you a pager which made me feel good. We think that it gives the kids a bit of 'down' time while on our vacation. They liked that bit of 'quiet time' without running around somewhere. We only left them for 1 1/2 hours the first time and then 2 1/2 hours the second but neither time were they ready to leave with us! I'm sure your little one will be the same way.

Thanks for the quick replies! Anyone have links to photos of either club?

Another thumbs up for Simba's Clubhouse!!! My 5 yr old DD loved it! We were going to dinner at BOMA's (which we loved) and I had asked her about going to the Clubhouse and she was really excited about it. So I made the reservation and upon arrival, we went to check it out. She was so excited to see all the toys and games and the TV with the movies, but her favorite thing was coloring with markers. She has asked about going back many times! Oh, and she got to pick what she wanted for dinner - hotdog, FF, & chocolate milk!
There were only about 6 other kids at the time we went, and she was only there for an hour, but she definitely had lots of fun!!

My 4 year old visited Simba's and the Sandcastle club a few weeks ago. She made a craft at both of them - colored lots of pictures, and played with the toys - they have a huge area with kitchens, garages etc to play with. Later on in the evening she put all the dollys to bed, and they close off the toy area and get everyone to settle down and watch a video (I guess around 10pm) This was when we picked her up, so she didn't end up watching any videos.

My neice has stayed at the Neverland Club two times, and LOVED it. She also doesn't play the video games, but found that there was much to do to keep her entertained and happy. The employees there were great, doing arts and crafts, acting out Peter Pan, etc with them, that it is her favorite attraction.

She has also stayed at the Cub's Den at WL, which I understand to be much like Simba's Clubhouse. She was not as enthralled with it, as it basically was one room with some toys, computer games and a TV with videos.

My sister said she was very glad that she didn't cancel Neverland Club based on Cub's Den, as they were like apples and oranges. I think your wee one would very much enjoy the Neverland Club!

My daughter loves Simba's Cubhouse at the AKL. She also loves the Poly's Never Land Club. Both places are wonderful for children. I have some photos of Simba's Cubhouse found here in my on-line photo album.
