AKL music

We've stayed at the AKL twice and are going back in May. I love the lobby music. I've asked the front desk what the music is. They don't know. I asked some walkabout CM's, they're not sure. I go to the giftshop and they have apparently heard the question before as they have a handout ready.

It lists many artists, many cd's - no song titles. We purchased three of them at the Virgin store. I recognize two maybe three tunes. I could spend hundreds of dollars and not get them all.

If you were obsessed about this, where would you start? Someone, somewhere KNOWS this.

We stayed there last last year and LOVED that music as well. I'd love to know the answer to this question as well.

We stayed there Nov. 2001, and loved the music. So when we returned Oct. 2002, I made sure we made a PS at Boma, and went to the gift shop to hopefully buy a CD of the hotel music. I bought one that the CM said was similar but it's just not the same. Do you think you have to be at AKL to really feel that magical music and when you return home and listen to something "similar" it's just not the same?
