We love it! It's the only place my DH will stay anymore. Can't convince him to try anything new. But, secretly, I'm fine with it because it's my favorite. I just like to give him a hard time. Haha!

....a-MEN, sistah......we are going in October for the F&WF, and my DH asked where we were staying [I had kicked around the idea of either BC/YC or BWI because if their proximity to Epcot]. When I told him "AKL", he answered, "Good!".....

I want to stay here, but it's so expensive. I can't justify the extra $1200 to stay here over the VWL. When I was looking through pics of resorts with my kids, AKV was their first choice. Even with the RO discount, it is soooo expensive. With a family of 5 I have to stay in the villas and they are beautiful, but pricey. I would love to do the evening safari and wake up to have coffee on my balcony and watch the animals. Everybody staying here is so lucky. ENJOY!

I am about to do our online checkin for our very first stay at AKL! woohoo! We booked a standard room with a request for the bunk bed configuration. we would love a savannah view but just can't afford it. Is there anything we should request in our online checkin? Any particular trail? Floor? Thanks!

I LOVED the little cards with a saying on it they gave out with turn down service. Has anyone kept them and done anything with them?
Here is my idea. I have 4. I am thinking about putting them in a frame to hang in my bedroom. Silly I know, but, I like it. I would also very much like turn down service with astor chocolates on my pillow at home too.


I loved reading them when we came in from a late night at the parks.

With Wal-Mart and Target having back to school stuff out has me planning for my classroom already. Urgh. I feel summer is over, not sure why. We still have a few weeks left.

I don't even care, to be honest. I don't even know what summer is anymore. I've been averaging 25 hrs OT for the last 2 1/2 months, & it doesn't look like it's going to slow down anytime soon. I can look forward to that trip at least..

I have never stayed there but this may help. If you click on a room scroll down to see what type of room it is. I know I have done some searches for pool view room and not all of them were pool view rooms that I clicked on

Just wanted my AKL friends to enjoy the giggle I just had. I called WDW to see about changing my resort reservation. The only thing available for my dates was the Royal Assante Suite. The funny part is that the rep on the phone was very non-nonchalant about the whole thing. The funnier thing is I actually said "well, can my whole party fit?" The rep said "you did tell me that AKL was your favorite resort."

I wanted to come and introduce myself! My Fiancee and I have just switched our Reservations over for our Honeymoon this December to the Jambo House 1 bedroom Villa!!! We couldn't be more excited!

Question.. How is the transportation to and from the parks? We originally were booked at the Contemporary, which was a hop skip and a jump to MK, but It really looks like the other parks are closer to AK resort, other than MK..

I am seriously excited to have booked this for our Honeymoon! I feel like this will give us more of a honeymoon feeling than the garden view at the Contemporary!!!

....first of all, and JAMBO! Prepare yourself to be wowed by this awesome resort....just like everything else, I guess the transportation issue continues to be a topic of discussion. To some, who want, "instant gratification", the bus wait can seem endless. Of course, when traveling to DTD, it can be a seemingly endless wait, but, as a guest of different-located WDW resorts, I personally have found it true, no matter where your point of origin is.

My advice to all is, don't let the clock be your master - just go with the flow and everything will work out!
