I read somewhere to make sure to just put in 2 adults, no kids (and call and add kids after?) when are your dates?

...I got a price of $336.61/nite for a std room....may I ask what kind of price you got, especially since you got a CL room?

My dates were Aug 9-10 (2 adults) and for Standard View - CL I paid a total of $346. That includes the 20% off from WDW and 20% using promo code "discover". Additionally, I got ~17 in orbucks to use...which I did when I booked my WL-CL for the day after the cruise.

I checked just now, and for my dates it is still showing CL available. (Before the promo code discount and tax it is $368)

Hello! We are planning to stay at AKL for the first time! Quick question, we snagged a 1 bedroom villa in Jambo house. How does the sleeper sofa and chair sleeper work in that small space? I'm trying to picture it but the chair sleeper seems like it won't fit? Anyone have pictures? Thanks!

So this is the problem I had up until late morning on Monday. Until Disney released their Summer Promo which covered my dates in Aug, CL never showed up. I was very sadly resigned to the fact that I would not be able to book through Orbitz and therefore not be able to take advantage of the extra 20% off. I even chatted with the customer service rep as to why that category wasn't available (CL was available at the other deluxes I looked at). Customer service had no answer and asked if Standard View was the same as Standard View- Club Level (um, no!). All I can say is that when the Promo came out, the CL rooms became available/added to the bookable room categories. I was overjoyed.

So, the only advice I could give you is to wait until the RO Fall Promo comes out and check back. People are always sharing promo codes (right now the published promo code is only for 15%) so look for the highest available.

Orbucks are Orbitz reward program. You get back a certain % to use on your next trip (which must begin after the one you book). For the trip I just booked, I had three separate ressies! I booked AKL (8/09-10) first and got back ~$17 (5%). When I booked my second ressie for WL-CL (8/15-16), I used the 20% off and applied the orbucks from my first ressie, and still earned ~$16 orbucks. I applied those orbucks to my third ressie that began on 8/16. That third ressie earned me $45 that I'll have available to me on my next booking.

You get an extra 2% back if you use their app. The downside to this is that you then can't go through another rewards site such at ebates, shopathome, etc. So calculate your options to see what will work out best. Even if you don't book through the app, you still get 3% in orbucks by using the site.

What a great thread! I just booked AKL Jambo House for 3 nights. August7th to August 10th. I booked a pool view thought it would be nice. We are so excited.

We have stayed at CSR and POR and have had to walk about 10 minutes to get to the pool from our rooms. Is walking to Kidani pool kind of the same thing from Jambo? I know my DD will like the slide better there. Also, is there a hot tub at Kidani?

You can walk to Kidani from Jambo - but I wouldn't, especially in August! I'm not sure how long of a walk it is (we drove over) - but I bet it would be a little more than 10 minutes...and feel like much longer in the summer heat. They have a van that shuttles you back and forth. Much easier.

Yes, once you get your Disney Confirmation number.

Do you get the confirmation number right after you book? It looks like we would save around $600 by booking through orbitz rather than directly through Disney, but I'm worried about loosing our FP+ reservations and all that fun stuff.
