Those stop at both 4 and 6, right? So we can go from room to lounge without going to the lobby first.

Brings up another question.... can you use stairs from the lobby to the 4th floor, if we were so inclined? With it being 1 level there may be times we'll do that rather than an elevator, if there are stairs with easy access.

The (standard, we are not DVC) rooms for the CL on are on 4 and lobby on 3, right?

Just verifying that all standard rooms come with a DVD player? It's not on the amenities list that I saw, but it does appear in photos of the rooms, even on the official Disney website.

30 day countdown!!!

First time for my kids, princess-crazed 5 yr old daughter & animal-crazed 7 yr old son. We are surprising them on departure morning.

Going May 16-20. Never stayed onsite before.

We booked a standard view room because our airline tickets ended up being more expensive than expected. Disney travel agent said she put a note in our reservation for "view"... any chance we will get any type of view or upgrade with a standard room? Do ALL the rooms have balconies, even standard?

I'm in pretty much the same position, except my kids are a fair amount older. We hit the AKL on May 17th for our first stay at the resort. Got our DME package yesterday and our magic bands are supposed to ship soon too.

And boy ... I'm not sure I've ever needed a vacation worse either.

ME TOO!!! Work has been insane... along with little league, school projects, etc etc...

Thanks for the warm welcome Hubby and I decided that instead of a romantic 10th anniversary getaway, we'd make it a family trip to Disney. We went about 8 years ago before kids and had a blast, so we are VERY excited about taking the kids!!

Can anyone tell me off the top of their head if those staying at Kidani take the same bus from MK back to AKL, or are there separate buses for those at AKL and AKV? Anyone remember the bus number for each park, too, or do they change?

There are stairs by Ostrich Trail that go from the 4th floor to the 5th. Once you get to the 5th, you will see the locked gate for Club Level. Use your room key to open it, and walk up the flight of stairs into heaven! We usually find that quicker and easier to get to the 6th floor lounge - especially if our room is on Kudu Trail. If it's on Zebra Trail, the elevators might be a bit easier.

....yup....there are some CL rooms on the 6th....or there used to be...

There are five 2-bedroom DVC villas on the 6th floor (all are lock-offs so they can be booked as 1-bedroom and studio villas). They are the only "DVC Club Level" rooms on Disney property.

The park buses pick up and drop off at Kidani first; then Jambo; same bus. I'm not sure what you mean by bus number...... each bus has a marquis in the front and on the right side specifying where it is headed.

Bumping because I'd like to know the answer to this also. There were no DVD players when we were there in 2010.

I'm wondering about DVD players in Deluxe Studio Savanna View rooms as well. We are doing P90X3 and are determined to continue while there. We'll be on day 72 when we arrive.......too close to quit!!!!!
