AKL Jambo standard room request.

I have a reservation coming up at Jambo in a standard room. I usually stay at Kidani in a savannah view, but need a 2 bedroom this time. Of course I'm hoping for a partial savannah or pool view. Any recommendations how to word a room request to help my chances? Thanks for any help.

I’ve only done Jambo for values since the 3rd bathroom at Kindani has me book there for a 2 bedroom. I’d say you have at least a 50% or more chance of pool or partial Savanah. The rooms at the end of the halls that are on the correct side of the hall are closest to partial Savanah because the garbage stuff can be seen also so not sold as a Savanah. But I can’t think of the wording for the request that would give you a better shot.

Requesting kudo trail would give you savanna views. zebra trail has pool and savanna views

My go to request for a villa overlooking a savanna when I have a standard view booked at Jambo is Kudu trail. On this map I’ve highlighted the location of the standard views in blue (red is elevators.) If your request for Kudu trail is granted you’ll overlook Sunset savanna. One time I tried to get fancy & requested that last pod on zebra trail which didn’t work, so if standard view these days I stick w/ a kudu trail request, which so far has always worked . BTW, the trails/hallways at Jambo are named after African animals - a kudu is a type of antelope.
