AKL in December?

We're planning a trip in mid-December of this year. I've read that the construction is ongoing until 2009, and there are several posts about people being moved to other resorts. Is there anyone out there with reservations for December? Are they still taking reservations for that time?

I'll be at AKL savannah view 12/5/07-12/12/07 for the 1st time, so I hope they don't switch our resort.

You should be fine. The ongoing construction will be the construction of the new building. After this round of moves, I don't think people will have to move again.

I spoke with someone specially assigned to deal with this issue yesterday and they stated the construction inside the resort will end on 9/1/07. After this date, they will begin construction on the exterior portion of the building on the villas themselves. Everyone after 9/1/07 can relax and take a deep breath as they will not have to relocate to another hotel.

I inquired about this via an email i sent last week and received a response a few days later. The CM called me yesterday (on her day off) and wanted to address the concerns in my letter, which was basically about the noise level during our stay in december with two 2 year olds. In the end, she upgraded us from a standard-view room to a Savannah room view at no charge.

We had a real in-depth conversation about the construction at AKL so i am very pleased to know that our trip will not be impacted in the least by the construction. We're going 12-8 thru 12-15.
