AKL - I'm excited!!!!!

Woo hoo, got home from work today and there was the Red and Yellow packet of info for my next trip to the World. As I was sitting in my chair reading, my husband asked, "How was your day?' and I said it is great now! He knows we are going, but doesn't know where we are staying. I was going to show him the Travel Channel special but I think I will keep it a secret untill we pull up to check in. I am so excited! I will order my tickets tomorrow, just found out the prices go up after Friday for my company discount, I will get all happy again when they arrrive. Now I guess I need to get my packing lists started. If I could only get DH even remotely interested in going, (he hates crowds, lines, waiting for anything, blah, blah, blah) guess he will just have to suffer as I drag him through the Food and Wine Festival, Fantasmic, and all the other adult things there are to do.

Thanks to everyone on this board for the info sharing, tips, etc. Everyone thinks I am the WDW expert, but all of you outshine me. Can't wait to be there.

AKL is my new favorite resort. I always loved DxL, but since staying at AKL last Jan, I am hooked! The authentic artifacts, beautiful decor, and of course the savannah are fabulous. I actually didn't eat at Mara, but both Boma and Jiko are amazing, although Jiko is quite pricey.

I just have to say I've been thinking that we should stay at AKL this time but, I was not sure if it was such a great idea.I even called today to make sure they had the savanah rooms available.My husband is just like mickeyfans' but, this time he is really excited to go ..I'm calling tommorow to make the res...thank you all.... I can't wait to go!!!!..AKL here we come!!

YES!!!!.. just spoke to my husband it's going to be savannah....what we are planning to do is skip the parks a day or two and spend it at the resort....I see that you (mickeyfan) are going about 2 weeks before we go so let me know how it goes. My husband works for an airline so we are getting a pretty good rate already...yipeee!!...Thanks for the info!!!!...I can't wait!!!!
