I'm going in July with DH, 4 kids, DSIL & DBIL. We've got two rooms reserved already and asked for them to be adjoining.
Does anyone know if all the adjoining rooms are 2Q/1K or 1Q-1BB/1K? We're spreading out the kids and don't want to leave DSIL & DBIL stuck sleeping in a King with 2 kids. (DS-8,3 &1 & DD-5). We're close but I think that's asking too much from them.
DH doesn't think the BB are a good idea for us. Has anyone here used them? Your thoughts?
Thanks!
First off, there are only about 20 rooms in the entire resort with king beds, so your chances of getting a king are VERY slim. It is a request only. If you have a medical need for a king, you must state it on the reservation--in which case you will likely be assigned a handicapped room which will likely have a roll in shower and no tub.
Next, adjoining means next door or near each other, not connecting. If you want connecting you must say so using the word connecting!
Next, you've got 4 adults and four kids. The AKL rooms only sleep four plus an infant, unless you have a deluxe room in which case it's five plus an infant. It doesn't sound like you've got deluxe rooms booked. So they will assign rooms based on two adults and two kids in each...meaning that you will not get a king room. The king rooms only have a king bed, they only sleep two people.
You might want to look at a 2BR suite--king in the master BR, sleeper sofa in the LR, queen and set of bunks in the other BR. The bunks have rails so falling out is difficult at best. They would be great for the 8 and 5 year olds.
