AKL concierge ??????

Last year we stayed on the 6th floor over looking the savannah. We loved being on the same floor as the concierge. The smell of food in our room all day and night was a little much. Any suggestions on room location for our Sept. trip.. Would we see any animals if we ask for a pool view room?? We really didn't see too many animals from our room . any suggestions would be great.

We stayed on the 5th floor overlooking Arusha Savannah, and the animal viewing was very good. It was only a short enjoyable walk to the elevators that take you up to concierge. They had originally put us in a 6th floor room overlooking Sunset Savannah, but we really wanted to be on Arusha Savannah, so we asked to be moved.
If you stay in a pool view room on the 6th floor, you will not see any animals.

I guess my opinion here won't help. We stayed on that isle overlooking the lobby on the sixth floor. The proximity to the lounge, the elevators, that balcony overlooking the lobby and having the Sunset Savanah view was great. When we stay again, I will certainly be requesting the same room or area.

what room was it.. It sounds just what i'm looking for. with DD2 and DD4 i really want to be on the 6th floor.

Why don't you want to stay on the 5th floor?

I think you are more likely to see animals from the 5th floor.

I believe the 6th floor is all pool view and most of the rooms are smoking.

I would also suggest 5th floor if you want good viewing of animals from your balcony.

Hi FF... the 6th floor is not all poolview - it's half and half.

The savanna view rooms look over the sunset savanna - they have thatched roof's over the balcony also they look over some thatched roof areas below so the savanna view is not as nice as on 5.

The poolview rooms are smoking optional...
