AKL concierge.....Do I need the grocery stop?

Hi

We will be staying AKL (concierge), and we are using a towncar service. Would you still do a grocery stop? If so what would I get? I know it may seem like a silly question......but I am worried that I will forget something!

Unless you are arriving after 10pm at night?? You do not need a thing..

You get beverages all day long like ice tea, lemonade, tea, coffee, cappucino, expresso, bottled water, coke products... plus snacks like crackers and trailmix.., nuts, gummi bears etc.. I also seem to remember bowls of whole fruit like apples & pears - I passed them by on my way to the gummi bear section

In the afternoon there is a tea service with scones & tarts etc... at 5pm-ish there is hot and cold appetizers (lots!) in the evening there is desserts and cordials (yum)

Unless there is something really specific you want in your room?? Concierge will be enough..

We requested the grocery stop with our Town Car Service just in case we are on the plane and realize we forgot something from home like personal care items or something. If we don't need to get anything we just plan on having the driver skip the stop.

The only thing you might want to consider--if you'll want beer, they don't have that in the lounge.

They just added a morrocan beer. Hubby gave it a thumbs up.

Personally I stuck to the Drambuie and Baileys... always took one back to the room to enjoy on my balcony whey DD was sleeping

(Thats one glass..... not one bottle!)

Nope, you won't need the grocery stop...you will be spoiled rotten by the staff in the concierge area.

did contemporary concierge last trip - was going ot get town car from airport and do the grocery stop - wound up renting a car instead. Had we done the towncar thing we would not have needed a grocery stop - conciereg had way more types and quantity of food then we could have needed - unless you only eat kosher in which case you would need to stock up before getting to your resort. Otherwise you will have more food options and availability then you will need.
