AKL conceirge vs. GF lodge conceirge

I also agree with Ducklite. Although I liked the GF concierge I LOVED the Poly concierge (stayed there is August) and the offerings were heads and above the GF. And it is on the monorail like the GF and has a great pool, restaurants, and kid's club.

Great responses!
Lizmc, I too am now considering switching from GF to Poly! That would be (4 nts AKL and 5 Poly) I prefer the theming and room decor of the GF, to the poly, but it seems that the Poly has more to offer at a better price.
Lookingforward, I beleive you are right about the AKL rooms looking smaller. AKL standard 344, conceirge 381 sq ft. GF standard rms 448, lodge conceirge 574. Poly standard 409 sq ft. With a family of 6 I tend to look at that. We like our own space.

Too many choices. I think I see another trip in my future!

Thank you all for your honest responses. It really helps to decide . It sounds to me like the Poly is a good choice for the last 1/2 of our vacation. We are from maui , so we will probably feel at home there!! How is the Christmas feeling at the resort? Is the conceirge longhouse in a good location? We would like very much to watch the water pageant . Also what floor level do you recomend?
Thanks in advance for all the help!!

The Grand Floridian has a new Guest Services manager, a new General Manager and a whole new management staff.

I would expect to see improvements at the Grand very soon.

The new GM at the GF is the former GM of the CR. It will take a lot to win back my concierge business there. And frankly I can stay concierge at the Poly for the cost of a non-concierge lagoon view room at the GF.

Sorry, I really don't know if that's a good rate or not for GF RPC. I'm sure someone else can help though :)
