As the search function didn't help me find the info I'm looking for (a lot of other helpfull info though :thumbsup2 ) I'm just going to ask what your experiences are.

For those of you who have stayed in an accessible room (with roll in shower) at AKL on club level; what where the sleeping arrangements like? Friend and I got such a room booked for our first night. She's nice, but I don't want to end up with one king bed and us needing to share one bed. :rotfl:

Are they one king, one king plus daybed, two queens, a variety of those or what?

We had a fully accessible room with two queen beds on the 5th floor. They also offer one with a queen and single sleeper. The single sleeper is extremely uncomfortable- you might want to request the room with two queens, otherwise it'll be hard to decide which of you gets to sleep in comfort and who will suffer on that pull out chair!---Kathy

contact Special (Medical) Reservations at 407-939-7807
Tell them that you need two beds in the room do to medical needs. It will be put on your reservation. My brain is fried but I do know they are the ones to call to make sure everything including the type of shower is in place.

Kathy, do you happen to remember the number of that room you guys were in?

I contacted SR previously, and they said all of the standard club level rooms with roll in shower are king+daybed, no two queens period. Not talking about availability, but none.

Can you still get such a room on medical needs? Since there are only two of us, I was somehow thinking you couldn't. But than again, the condition we've got is such that a proper bed for both would make a world of difference, so if that would be possible you betcha I want to try and get that arranged.

I'm not sure of the room # I had but it was during the renovation of the 6th floor so the bedding may have changed. If all they have is king and a daybed and there are only two guests then that's the room you'll get- they won't make an exception since the proper amount of bedding is provided. I wish I had better news. The time I had the king/daybed I called to say I was really uncomfortable with the daybed and they did send an eggcrate mattress in which did help.---Kathy
