Now that my kids are teenagers they hate sharing beds. My son is very tall and my daughter is small. They really want to get bunk beds. Are they doable for my tall son? He says he doesn't care as long as he has his own bed. We have stayed at AKL and it is our favorite.

We had a bunk bed room at AKL last month. The bunk beds are your typical twin size bed. So if he can fit in a twin size, then he should be fine.

How tall is your son? He might or might not fit in the bunk.

The problem my daughter and niece have had as they've grown is that whoever is on the bottom bunk cannot sit up without hitting head on upper bunk! But if your kid wants his own bed, I guess it's worth it.

Here are WL bunk beds which I assume are same dimensions. You can see how "tight"-

We stayed there in 2014 when our sons were 18 and 8. It worked well for us! Our older was about 5'11" at the time and took the top bunk so he didn't have to worry about hitting his head.

Our 6ft 17 yr old slept on the top bunk this past Oct with no complaints.
