Which would you chose and why? I'm a little concern about AKL, with the construction going on until 2009. We plan on going the end of August through the beginning of Sept. 2008. It will be me, dh and dd(7) and ds(4)

Location, location, location!!! There is so much to do at BC!!! I carried three teenagers for a week in July. There was so much to do and see there for all ages. You have access to the BC and YC only pool (and it is great!), the BW, super close (walking distance) to Epcot, and walking/ boat ride to MGM. :cheer2:

I planned the trip as my "dream vacation". That is exactly what it was and I was so glad I chose the BC!!! I will definitely do it again!!!

We  it at BC!!!!!

Well, we stayed at AKL and absolutely loved it ... we own DVC points at SSR and like it there too. And in 6 months or so we will be staying at Beach Club!! I would say go with AKL or BC.

I could sit and look at the animals forever at AKL. BC underwhelmed me. Personal preference about what you want to do really.

I have to say Beach club because I love Stormalong bay, the location walking or boat to Epcot and MGM and we must not forget Beaches and cream- Yummy! I haven't tried either of the others but we rented points at BCV's last October and loved it!!!!!

We love the BC/YC area. Great service in the resorts, lots of options for food in that area, great location and just love the pool and the atmosphere in general.
We ahve stayed at the AKL two times and also love it. But I would stay at the BC over AKL for the above reasons. Especially with kids of your ages

I voted AKL b/c I love the theming. To me it feels like being in Africa its so different from anything else around. BC does have some great amenities that you might want to consider w/ your party. I wouldn't stay at SS unless you were getting a great deal. I just don't prefer the location, the layout or the theming.

We love SSR - especially the Paddock - the quiet pool is usually very quiet, which means our girls can play without worrying about getting into too much trouble!

Having stayed at all 3 at one time or another I can only say that they all offer their own ambiance. Their locations are also very different as well.

Just depends on what you're looking for.

BC probably offers the best location as the Epcot resort area is a great area to stay in. You're a boat ride or even a walk away from 2 parks plus there's lots of eateries, shopping and entertainment within walking. The accommodations are nice although we do find the rooms at BC a bit on the small side (unless you stay at the BCV). BC is also the most expensive of the 3, but of the 3 you can't beat the location.

AKL is a very unique resort but to FULLY appreciate it's atmosphere you need to have a savanna room which is more expensive than the standards. There are many lookout areas from the hallways but if you don't have a savanna room, you can't fully take in what it has to offer.

Yes, there is construction going on and being that they are building an entire new section it will probably go on for quite a while. The resort does have a cozy feel to it as well as great restaurants. It is located way out there though and although it is a quick bus ride to AK, it does take a little longer to get to the parks than it does from any of the other resorts plus bus is the only way anywhere. No walking or boats to parks or food/shopping areas there (other than those located inside the resort itself).

SSR is a rather large resort and is located probably the furthest from the parks but it is right across from DTD. You can take their boat to DTD or walk from some locations. The rooms are very comfortable and the resort is nicely laid out with many amenities. And even the studio room has a kitchenette area which we find VERY convenient in our room at WDW.

We've actually enjoyed staying at all 3 of these resorts and would stay at any one of them again although SSR seems to have the best rates that's where we've been ending up lately.:thumbsup2...just depends on what type of experience you're looking for.;)

I went with SSR. I enjoy the extra room and if you spring for a 1 bedroom, the jacuzzi is fabulous

I picked BC because I love the location and the restaurants.

I am looking to get what I pay for. Last trip we stood at the WL. This was our first time staying at a deluxe. I have to say I was disappointed in what I got for the $$$. We paid for a woodsview, got a partial service area view. The food was terrible too. I want to stay somewhere where the rooms are nicely renovated and clean, get the view I pay for, pool slide for the kids, hot tub for us, good service, good food and a good location. I don't mind spending more money. However, I expect to get what I paid for. kwim?

With what you just said you wanted I would pick BC!!!
I think that is where you will be the happiest!!!!:goodvibes
