AKL and Holdiay Decorations

Hi

I have seen pics of alot of the resorts decorated for christmas but none so far for akl. Does anyone know if they decorate for christmas? I hope so!!!

Yes they do! They were just starting to decorate for Christmas when we left last weekend. I've also seen pictures of the huge tree in the lobby from previous years.

Yes! I was there the first week of January last year & the tree was awesome. It was decorated with tiny African masks & animals, etc. Very unique like everything else at the AKL.

oh yes, they do decorate! that is the only deluxe I havent seen decorated for the holidays though! it was the last of the resorts to be done last season, and when we went to see... they told us that they were going to be decorating that night!!!!!!!
we were one day too early! but I'll be sure to check it out this year!

I adore the AKL. I was there over the holidays and it was decorated with a tall tree in the lobby that went clear up to the ceiling, and on that tree were ornaments that were handcrafted in Africa. You can buy most of those very same ornaments in the AKL's wonderful gift shop.

Be sure to see the little African gingerbread village over near Boma ! It was so cute.
