I will be 8 weeks pregnant, not really plannned when we go to Animal Kingdom lodge. We sighned up to do the safari and only stayed on the concierge level just to do this. Is this morning Safari tamer than the regular one that you would get to do if you were just doing the normal Animal Kingdom park ride. I am thinking it will be a little bit more tame than the normal one. I am not asking if I should do it or not, just what to expect. Thanks

I haven't done it yet, but my understanding is it's the same as the Kilimanjaro Safari Ride (like Animal Kingdom), except there's more stops along the way for picture taking. No more or less "tame", just longer. The regular ride is pretty tame though.

You don't get the story of Big Red and Little Red. No creaky bridge. Just a nice, slow safari ride.

I have been on the sunrise safari offered to concierge guests during two different trips. I am quite sure that the second time we did go over the "creaky bridge" in all its glory. We did not, however, rush around during any part of our trip. It is a fabulous and informational ride along with a delicious breakfast afterwards. I wouldn't see a problem with it but I am not a doctor. I would contact your doctor and go with their advice.

The beginning of your pregnancy is where you need to be concerned the most. I would stay off rides that have warnings and let the driver at the Safari know you are pregnant.

Just wanted to add that at 8 weeks is when I began to have really bad morning sickness that lasted 24/7. I would talk to your doctor as I know there are things you can can take for this now

Yes, it is tamer - it's more like a guided nature watch, rather than an exciting adventure event. I'm sure you'll enjoy it! I've done it many times.
