AKL 1 Bedroom question

It's been a while since we've been on the boards, but we're starting to plan our vacation and have a question about AKL. We've never been there not even to visit the lobby.

If we make a ressie for a 1 bedroom, can we be guaranteed a room that sleeps 5? My son and daughter do not want to share a bed and we don't necessarily need a second bathroom so we're wondering if this is a good way to save on some points.

As long as you don't reserve a value 1 bedroom, it will sleep 5.

AKL 1 BRs have a king size bed (2 people), a queen size sleeper sofa (2 people), and a sleeper chair (1 person) in Jambo House and Kidani Village. The sleeper chair is in the living room and should fit most children. The 2nd bathrooms will be in Kidani Village.

Hi, grizzlymd. It has been a long time since you posted. We met your family at Mount Rushmore, SD several years ago and I've been watching for you since. The Kidani Village one bedrooms will have that extra bathroom just off the main entrance, so with two kids, it might be useful.

The standard at Kidani and Jambo are same points as are the savanna view rooms, so I would go for Kidani for the extra bathroom and maybe standard view, although standard at Jambo is pool view!

The way you worded this can be confusing. I had to re-read it several times. At first, I thought you were saying that standard and savanna views are the same amount of points.

Sorry should of made it clearer that the categories are the same points regardless of which building, except Jambo which also has value and concierge.
